Gridley Gazette, 6th Edition
January 2025
Welcome Back Message from Mrs. Rosanna Ortiz-Montoya, Principal
Welcome back Gridley families after a wonderful holiday break! I hope you all enjoyed quality time with family and friends over the holiday break, and you are ready to step into the new year 2025 with renewed energy.
As we start the new year, I want to first reflect on last year and thank all of the Gridley families and staff for your tremendous dedication to our Gridley students. I continue to be impressed by our teachers passion and hard work to educate our students. I’m also proud of the work we’ve done at Gridley, the thought and planning that goes on behind the scenes as we transition to the new year, and how we teach is no small feat!
Our students are benefitting significantly from your efforts to stretch their learning in new and challenging ways. The knowledge and skills that are required and the class instruction you provide will prepare our students for the jobs of tomorrow. I have high hopes for what our students will be learning and accomplishing this year, but their success depends on our guidance and expertise.
As we continue to focus on teaching our students, it is important that we communicate often with parents about our teaching methods in the classroom and the success we are seeing with their children. Our community of parents need to know about the challenges our students have in learning, the building of critical skills, and the deepening of knowledge that you dedicate to teaching in your classrooms every day. This helps parents understand that students need to know and be able to be ready for the next step, the next grade, and ultimately, college or career. Your involvement and continued dedication are critical to our success and important to helping our students succeed.
Sincerely,
Rosanna Ortiz-Montoya, Principal
