Third Sunday of Advent
Rejoice! This third week focuses our intention on joy. Joy is a very real and deep happiness that is rooted in faith and trust. In this third week of Advent, we pause and reflect on the first half of the season, as well as look ahead to the last weeks. The joy that we have and will experience during this season magnifies as we continue to prepare for the coming of Christ, who is full of joy.
Upcoming Events and Activities
School Choir - Lougheed Mall
The school choir from grades 3-7 will be singing at Lougheed Town Centre for their annual ‘Christmas In Song’ event. The students will be performing on Friday, December 15 from 2-3 pm in front of London Drugs.
Library Book Return
A reminder that all library books need to be returned next week before Christmas break. We will resume our book exchange in January.
Lost and Found
There are many items in our school lost and found. We will have a special lost and found table with clothing outside the gym door this week Friday and next week Friday, the last day of school. At winter break, all unclaimed clothing items will be donated back to the used uniform store or to charity.
Skating Party
The Parent Association Skating Party will be happening Tuesday, December 19th at Bill Copeland Sports Complex from 1- 2:30 pm. Students should be picked up from the school at 12:15 pm.

No Basketball Next Week
Due to the Christmas concert and use of the gym, all basketball practices are cancelled next week.
Christmas Concert
Our Fine Arts team is ready to share our Christmas Concert, “Away in a Mango”. We will have 2 performances on Thursday, December 21st at 1:30 pm and 7 pm.
All students will be performing a musical number for the concert, and we are asking that they come in a tropical-style costume for the performance. The easiest option is for your child to wear a 'Hawaiian' shirt, with jeans and tropical accessories. If you do not have a 'Hawaiian' shirt, another option is for your child to wear his/her 'Away In A Mango' t-shirt, with jeans and tropical accessories. Remember, the key is to accessorize!
Students in Grades K - 6 may come to school wearing their costumes on Thursday and Friday. Students in Grade 7 will be given specific instructions according to their role.
For the evening performance, Cast Members are asked to arrive at 6 pm through the library doors. All other students are asked to arrive between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm through the main entrance of the school.
The doors will open for audience members at 1 pm for the matinee and 6:30 pm for the evening performance.
Last Day of Term
Our last day of term before the break will be Friday, December 22nd.
We will celebrate Mass together as a community, before gathering for a special assembly with Monsignor Rossi in the gym. Dismissal will be at noon.
Christmas Family Mass
Our Christmas Family Mass is the 8:30AM Christmas Day Mass. We encourage as many of our families as possible to join this special celebration. Our choir will lead us in song as we come together to rejoice. We look forward to seeing you there.
Students do not need to come in school uniform and can wear their Christmas best.
