Grand Rapids Symphony
All members of the HS Orchestra attended a Grand Rapids Symphony performance last week. The venue at St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids is so amazing, and the musicians are the best! The show was incredible, and students had a chance to watch a wind quartet concertante (solo with orchestra) along with a piano and 13 member ensemble piece. The experience provided a glimpse into the life of a professional musician, and some possibilities outside of high school.

Thanksgiving Rotations
Students in Mrs. Kupres' classroom had a fun Tuesday with some Thanksgiving-themed rotations. Students listened to "How to Catch a Turkey" and went on a turkey hunt, they made pilgrim hat treats, wrote Thanksgiving Acrostic poems, and did some pie math. So much fun!
Positive Choices at Pine Street!
Pine Street students have been working on making positive choices and Tuesday, November 26th was reward day. They started with an assembly honoring all of our students that have all A’s and B’s and no behavior referrals in the first trimester. These students earned a pizza certificate from Hungry Howies, a Pine Street bracelet and a Golden Pride Ticket to spend at the school store. Then all students were rewarded for meeting their positive behavior goal for the month. Students wore pajamas to school and were treated to Hudsonville Ice Cream and a movie. A huge thank you to Hudsonville Ice Cream and Hungry Howies for the donations!
