Hello BPS Families,

No School on Monday, 5/26
Cranford Public Schools will be closed on Monday, 5/26 in observance of Memorial Day. Our gratitude goes out to the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country.
Designated Doors for Arrival and Dismissal
To ensure a smooth and safe flow of traffic, students are asked to enter and exit the building through their designated grade-level doors. Designated doors help us manage student movement efficiently and safely, especially during these busy times.
We know that many of our students have siblings in different grades. If your children are entering or exiting together through a younger sibling's designated door, please remind them to walk calmly and allow the younger students to go first. This simple act makes a big difference in maintaining a safe environment during school arrival and dismissal.
Front Entrance Etiquette (Morning Arrival)
Specifically, during morning arrival, if students who are not in first grade enter through the front doors, we kindly ask that they allow first-grade students to enter first. The front entrance is primarily designated for our youngest learners to ensure their safe and easy access to the building.
Your partnership in reminding your children about these procedures is greatly appreciated. These small efforts contribute significantly to the safety and positive atmosphere of our school for everyone. Thank you for your continued support!
Last Chance to Sign Up for Grade 1 BINGO Night
If your child would like to attend the Grade 1 BINGO event and you have not yet RSVPed, please do so by Monday, 5/26. Volunteers are also needed. Please see the additional information below:
The BPS PTA will host a BINGO Night for Grade 1 students on Wednesday, 5/28 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM at the school. If you choose, this can be a drop off event, but a parent/guardian is required to sign their child in and out of the event if they elect not to attend as well. Please send students with a water bottle. No snacks will be served. Also, volunteer helpers are needed and welcome. Please see this link to RSVP for your child and to review the available slots for volunteers.

Flower Friends
Thank you to everyone who supported the BPS Environmental Club seed packet fundraiser on Tuesday. The sale earned $100 for the club which will be used to purchase native and pollinator-friendly plants for the BPS Butterfly Garden facing Brookside Place. Planting wildflowers provides food and habitats to many insects, birds, and small mammals. Planting native flowers specifically helps our local pollinators with the food and habitats they need.
