Garden Feature
A Senior from Port Townsend Highschool named Claire, featured our garden at Salish Coast in her senior project. She beautifully captured the love and care that goes into nurturing the young minds of our students and the beauty of our working garden. Here, some students learned how to make tea from the herb lemon balm, while others learned how to weed and mulch the garden beds, with the help and knowledge of Farmer Isabel.

Meet Amy!
"I’ve had a variety of jobs over the years, including food service, retail, and lots of childcare. One of my favorite roles was as a substitute preschool teacher. Before joining Salish Coast, I worked as the assistant manager of the Jefferson County Farmers Markets.
When I heard Salish Coast was looking for quality paraeducators, I felt called to apply. I knew my skills could make a difference for students—and it’s been so rewarding! I’m especially excited when I see students having breakthroughs and knowing that our hard work is making an impact. I also enjoy being silly with my students and hearing the funny things they say—it’s one of my favorite parts of the job!
This school year, I’m especially looking forward to the biking unit with Coach Dani and her amazing efforts to make her classes accessible to everyone. When I’m not at work, I love spending time outdoors, reading, crafting, or baking with my son, Mikah."
Meet Kate!
"Before joining Salish Coast, I worked at several preschools in New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont. After moving here, I also had the pleasure of working at an outdoor preschool in Anacortes and Sequim's Little Explorers.
I’ve wanted to work in elementary education for a long time, and I love being part of my students’ learning journey. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping students overcome challenges and seeing their pride when they succeed at something they thought was too hard.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially at the beach, where I love finding beach treasures. A fun fact about me is that I’m passionate about photography and even took classes in high school!
This year, I’m especially looking forward to Rhodyfest—it feels like the perfect way to welcome spring, with everyone in high spirits. I feel so grateful to work with an amazing team and our incredible students. I look forward to what this school year has in store!"

Protegiendo a Sus Hijos en Línea
TOME CONTROL
