Hermosa School Weekly Recap - Week of February 17-20
Parents & Guardians,
It was an odd week at Hermosa School as the cold and snow caused some scheduling issues over the past week. As always, we appreciate your flexibility with the two-hour late starts this week and we want everyone to remember that safety is always the number one priority. When we have inclement weather, please use your discretion as a parent or guardian when it comes to sending your child to school.

We made it through the freezing week!
Happy Random Acts of Kindness Week! As said last week, kindness spreads. One small act of kindness makes the receiver and giver feel good, leading to more kind acts.
This week we continued to talk about kindness and friendship in Junior Kindergarten - 1st grade. It's inspiring to hear the answers students have and the great ways in which they are helpful, caring friends. Next week I will be out of the building, enjoying my time in Dublin, Ireland! Mrs. Butler will take over a few of my lessons and with students will read the story, "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" It's a great story relating to how we can be bucket "fillers" to others by being a caring person and doing kind things for others. Bucket "dippers" take away from others with mean comments and treatments. Students will then make their own "bucket" filled with the things that bring them joy.
See you in March!
