The first progress monitoring (PM1) session for the statewide assessment, FAST, begins a week from next Tuesday. Letters with much more information are attached below. It is important that students do the best they can so we know the amount of additional support each of them need throughout the year. Testing begins in the morning so, as always, please have them to school on time. The testing schedule is below. Please be sure to read the attached letter. Also, be sure to read the guidance on how to set access the Family Portal where scores and other resources may be found.

8th Grade: Monday and Tuesday, September 9th and 10th

7th Grade: Thursday and Friday, September 12th and 13th

6th Grade: Monday and Tuesday, September 16th and 17th

We are holding a fundraiser this year. Funds raised will help support our PBIS program. We are utilizing a ticket system this year that will allow students to purchase items of interest. We also will have bi-weekly incentives based on students not on-time to class and having no unexcused absences. Attendance has been an issue that negatively impacts learning for many years. We realize not everyone will be able to participate in the fundraiser, but appreciate those who are able doing so to the degree they feel comfortable. There are incentives for students in the program as well. See the attached documents. A picture of each is provided below as well. Hopefully one or the other will work for you. Students will be provided a flyer/letter this coming week. We thank you for your support!

Our first Best Buddies wall display is up thanks to the Best Buddies officers! They chose the design/message and “built” the whole thing. We change it each month and our goal is to provide positive messages to the school community that center around inclusion, kindness, and growth mindset. Best Buddies Sponsor, Mrs. Lori Dufrain
