Character Trait of the Month
Compassion
Our character trait for May is COMPASSION. We define COMPASSION as showing empathy and concern for others. This month at Barbieri we will ask the question: why is showing COMPASSION to others important? Ms. Trosello has set aside many books to learn about COMPASSION that we are excited to read this month.
Families can take a look here for ways to support COMPASSION at home! At Community Meetings last week, La Reina de Diez drew names out of her box to be her special helpers to help create this months' challenges (3rd grade Queen drawing). Ask your student who got chosen from their grade level!
Take a look at our newest (and final) round of Hawk helpers getting ready for teacher appreciation week!

Words from our New Office Manager - Angelo Perez
My name is Angelo and I am a Boricua from Springfield, MA. In my previous position, I was a Social Work Tech, working hand on hand with children and families. Along the way, I became a dorm parent at Walnut Hill School of Music and glad to be a part of a performing arts community. My past and current experiences allowed me to embark on this new journey with Barbieri School. I look forward to working with the Barbieri community.
