Happy Friday! This week we celebrated attendance with dress up days, dance parties and totally smashing the attendance goal of 96%! We finsihed the week at 97.19% that is fantastic! GREAT JOB ROADRUNNERS!!! Let's keep it going! Continue to remind your students to wash their hands, keep their hands out of their nose and mouth, get plenty of rest, limit screen time and eat well so that they can stay happy, healthy and coming to school.

Fall Picture Day Is Finished!

-Families will have approximately 5 days after the original picture day to order online using the link https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry/86868M

-Once the 5 days have passed, packages purchased will ship to the student’s home and may incur shipping charges.

-“Late Orders”- Any Orders that are not turned in on picture day must be done online. Please return the order form to the parent and give them the online order link.

It's about that time to run the obstacles of the Van Raub Roadrunner Dash. Be on the look out for information coming soon. The fundraiser will kick of September 30 - October 11, with the Obstacle race on October 10th. Be on the look out for more information, and a Sign Up Genius to help during that day.

Bulverde Pumpkin Patch Spirit Day - October 11

Bulverde Pumpkin Patch is hosting a Van Raub Spirit Day on October 11th. You can purchase your entry for $20/car. If you're headed out of town for Fall break, you can still purchase admission online on the 11th and attend later in the month. Bulverde Pumpkin Patch is donating back to Van Raub PTO for any paid admission. Please see the flyer attached.

This year we will have a couple "Career Days" for our students at VRES; our tentative date for the first one is October 9th , 2024. In order for us to provide a powerful learning experience for all we are planning ahead and asking our parents for assistance in this endeavor. We want to know what our students' parents do for a living and if they are willing to come and share their experience in their specific field with us. Our teachers have the opportunity to nominate students for doing fantastic things on our campus. These nominations can be for academic or character-related greatness. We believe in promoting positive character traits, student success, and of course, most importantly being a good human! A few of the many traits that we promote are kindness, empathy, perseverance, leadership, service, responsibility, compassion, honesty, and treating your neighbor the way you would want to be treated. It is great to celebrate our students each morning. We are blessed that Van Raub has so many amazing kiddos to rave about!
