Note from the Principal
Dear Werner Community,
Congratulations on another fantastic school year! I just want to say "Thank You" for all of your support of our great community and your child. We are blessed by such an involved and supportive community!
As we finish of this school year, I wanted share a few highlights of this year. They are a continued reflection of the great things about Werner and your child.
- Community Events- We had the Fall Festival, Veterans Day Breakfast, International Night, and Donuts with Grownups as a place for our community to come together and connect.
- Enrichment Clubs- We had over fifteen clubs or events for students to participate in to explore their passions and interests.
- Specials Highlights- Our Specials Program is an integral part of a whole child experience and our students were able to participate in field day, art fair, and our music concerts. These events give our students an opportunity to shine and show their skills!
- Fundraising Support- Through our PTA's efforts, our Read-a-Thon fundraiser was a huge success! Over $37,000 was raised to support various needs. We committed about $11,000 to teacher budgets to enhancing their classrooms. We committed $13,000 towards playground enhancements. The initial money went towards soccer goals and new bike racks and we will have a Gaga pit installed later this summer! The rest of the money went towards other school needs like a new laminator. With last year's budget cuts, these all helped support some needs and wants!
- Academic Excellence- We just received the John Irwin School of Excellence Award for 2023 and 2024. This award goes to schools that demonstrate excellent academic achievement in the state. We are still sorting through our spring assessment data, but early indications show that our students are continuing to grow and achieve high standards!
- Volunteers- We had over 3100 hours of service this year from volunteers! We know that many hours are not always recorded either. Thanks for all you that have helped, in any capacity, to support our school! Thanks, also, to our wonderful PTA that have been supportive!
I hope you all have a wonderful summer and time to recharge as a family! See you in August!
Sincerely,
Hayden Camp

KioskVue Info for Student Check-in and Check-out
Dear Werner Families,
We are excited to announce that Werner is transitioning to using the KioskVue system for student check-ins and check-outs. This new system will streamline the process for recording late arrivals and early dismissals, offering families the flexibility to check in or out of school with ease.
How the KioskVue System Works:
- QR Code Scanning: Parents can use the ParentVUE mobile app to display their QR code, which can be scanned by the iPad in the front office. This will quickly record their late arrival or early dismissal.
All options are simple and convenient, ensuring that students' tardiness or early departures are recorded accurately and efficiently.
What You Need to Know:
- ParentVUE Access: Ensure that you have access to the ParentVUE app, as this will allow you to view your child’s QR code. If you have any trouble accessing your account or need assistance, please contact the front office.
We hope this new system will provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience for all families. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact the school.
Thank you for your continued support!
Staff Favorites
We often get questions about our staff and their favorite things (for appreciation, etc.). You can access those remotely at Staff Favorites. This list is also under the "About Us" tab on our school website.
2024-2025 Werner Photo Album
Throughout the year, we ask our community for photos that could be used for our yearbook and/or social media. This relates to school events only (e.g. classroom parties, field trips, school events, spirit days and enrichment opportunities). You can upload pictures to our 2024-2025 Werner Photo Album throughout the year. Please be mindful to not include photos of students that may not have permission.

Volunteers are needed across Poudre School District to support our Teachers & Students!
PSD sends frequent emails to currently registered volunteers, but those are getting lost in some recipients' junk mail folders. If you are registered as a volunteer with PSD, please check your junk mail & mark those sent by "Volunteer Coordinator" as safe to receive.
For those who are not yet registered to volunteer but want to help in our schools please visit - Volunteer Registration
PSD Now Newsletter
One of many ways information is shared is through the PSD Now community newsletter, which features timely information about the latest happenings in the district. This is emailed to families and interested community members about every other Thursday.
NEWS FROM THE COMMUNITY
SUMMER ADVENTURE AT POUDRE LIBRARIES KEEPS KIDS AND FAMILIES READING AND EXPLORING!
Hey parents and caregivers! We know that you support your child’s learning in every way possible. Poudre Libraries are here to support you! The library will promote reading, learning, and family fun through our free SUMMER ADVENTURE.
ADVENTURE ON!
The free, all-ages Summer Adventure encourages curiosity, and provides exciting opportunities to learn, play, and read together. Studies show that children who read or are read to during the summer more effectively retain the learning progress they worked so hard to achieve during the school year. Over the summer, it’s important for kids to build a consistent reading routine, explore the world around them, and have fun. That’s why we have created a Bingo Board of activities that are fun to complete AND help kids practice reading, science, technology, art, math, and health.
To accompany them on their adventure, kids and teens get a free book of their choice to keep just for signing up for the challenge! Upon completing at least one Bingo, kids and teens can pick a second book.
Families can track their progress through Summer Adventure digitally or on paper. To participate digitally, download the Beanstack Tracker app from the Apple or Google Play store or visit our Beanstack website at PoudreLibraries.beanstack.org. The website is available in multiple languages with the Google Translate button at the bottom right of the screen. To participate on paper, pick up a printed Bingo Board from any library location starting May 1 (available in English and Spanish).
Save the Dates
May 1 – Pre-registration opens on the Beanstack app and online at PoudreLibraries.beanstack.org
May 27 – The SUMMER ADVENTURE begins! Sign up and collect your free book from any library location (while supplies last).
June 1 - Programs and events start. Join us for energetic storytimes, interactive performances, and hands-on explorations!
Keep in mind: Summer Adventure is not just for kids! Research shows that kids benefit when adults model reading and learning, too. That’s why the adventure is for the whole family -- kids, teens, and grown-ups! Read and complete activities together, then count it on everyone’s Bingo board.
Gear up for a summer of adventure! See you at Poudre Libraries!
