Updates and Reminders
- Please check your email each morning by 9:00 AM and throughout the day for email messages from me. Things are changing so quickly this will keep us on the same page.
- At home learning plans should be submitted to me no later than mid morning on Monday, March 23, 2020 for the week of March 23rd. This first week we will be focused on at home learning opportunities for Tuesday through Friday. Please wait to sent until you have been given the go ahead from me.
- Next week's plans should be shared with me no later than mid morning on Friday, March 27th. Again, wait to send until you are given the go ahead from me.
- Remember to provide at minimum 1-2 interactions/connections with your students throughout the week. I am hearing from parents that many of you are doing this already and they greatly appreciate it - so do I!
- The report card window has been changed. Report cards are due April 17th and will be viewable on April 21st (slight change from my original email but the due date is the same). For grading purposes, the end of the marking period is the last day students attended school before we shut down.
- Take good care of yourself. We cannot support our families if we are not taking care of ourselves!

Bridges at Home Resources
This notification came to me early this morning. I'm so grateful we adopted Bridges! Please let all K-5 teachers, as well as RR/LS teachers know about these Bridges packets. Additionally, I checked out the Math-at-Home resources. These also look good!
“Math-at-Home” teaching resources (written in English, as well as Spanish) are for all K-5 students and their families. Each grade level includes a daily math activity, practice pages, and online games. Most importantly, these are open to the public! Take a look at these resources. You can access these resources here:
https://www.mathlearningcenter.org/home-learning
Fun and engaging daily activities are aligned to the current math and practice standards and will be updated every weekday. Examples of how other students completed the previous day’s activity will also be included. Students can check their work, as well as stretch their math minds and thinking! Finally, these resources offer us opportunities to differentiate instruction, especially if a student benefits from a previous grade or future grade level’s work!
Thank you for the continued opportunity to work with your amazing and dedicated staff, students, and their families. I sincerely hope all of our teachers and families take advantage of these fine resources.
Looking forward to our future with hope, optimism and faith. Stay safe, healthy, and hope-filled.
Dr. Carrie Zielinski
Mathematics Education Consultant and Coach

Social Emotional Learning
We have spent a lot of time learning how to support our students socially and emotionally, but what about you? This week, I am sharing a resource I found that outlines some great ideas on how you can take care of yourself - socially and emotionally that I thought you would enjoy. Click here to access Tips for Teachers Wellbeing from Reachout.com. While this article was written for the start of the school year, I think Springtime is a great time to think about how we can take care of ourselves, which allows us to take better care of others.
Please let me know how I can best support you, as we continue this journey of social emotional learning!
