We are just one week away from our Annual Dinner Auction! The dinner auction raffle tickets for this year may be purchased through Venmo (@hcsdinnerauction), at HCS, or the night of the auction. Reservations may still be made, but please let us know ASAP if you would like to attend.

~Donations will be accepted in the HCS Cafeteria Friday, Oct 18th (4:00-6:00 pm) & Saturday, Oct 19th (8:00 am to 11:00 am)

This week, Mrs. Barttelbort's 3rd grade classed learned about exploding pumpkins, colored a crown showing the life cycle of a pumpkin, and received a "magazine" about pumpkins and IL production. Stay tuned for more monthly visits!

Parent / Teacher Conferences Information

When: Wednesday, October 23 & Thursday, October 24 (No school on Friday, October 25)

Time: Both evenings will go from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Teacher Break/Dinner will be from 6:00 - 6:30)

Conferences are in 15-minute increments.

If you have a middle school student, make an appointment with the homeroom teacher but you can make an appointment with the others if you want/need to.

Kindergarten conferences will be Wednesday, November 20 & Thursday, November 21

The end of 1st quarter is today, October 11. Teachers will have grades finalized by next Wednesday and 1st Quarter Report Cards will be published on FACTs on Friday, October 18. We will also give you a hard copy at Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Put on the calendar our 2nd Feeding God's People next Friday, October 18. Same time...7:15 AM in the cafeteria.

Holy Childhood School will be participating in the Box of Joy ministry, a Christmas gift outreach organized by local Catholic schools, parishes and groups nationwide. By packing Boxes of Joy with toys and other gifts, our students and parish members will bless children suffering from extreme suffering by sharing the joy of Christmas and planting seeds of hope through the Gospel. Children in Guatemala, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Grenada, and Honduras will receive the Boxes of Joy.

We will be collecting boxes now until Nov. 10. Please pick up an empty box and brochure at any of the entries at church. You may also stop by the school and pick up a box. A list of ideas will be included in the brochure. Also please include a minimum of $9 for shipping. This can be paid by using the QR Code on the brochure, online at BoxofJoy.com, cash or check. Drop off filled boxes at church or school.

I wanted to let you know that we have had some requests by parents and grandparents for the "Be the Light" school theme shirts. (Possible Christmas gifts?)

Heidi K. gave Warrior Logo permission to add it to the school spirit wear store. It is now on there in short and long sleeve adult and youth sizes.
