Transportation Information
Indian Prairie School District 204 Transportation Service is administered by the Department of Support Operations to provide best practices for safe, reliable and efficient transportation services in the most economical manner to all students who are eligible to receive transportation service.
Transportation information is available in StudentVUE and ParentVUE. Please know that the start of each school year brings with it the potential for some overcrowding on buses. During the first few weeks of school, especially on high school bus routes, rider counts fluctuate as students explore their various methods of transportation. We ask for your patience as bus drivers and school administrators take daily head counts of high volume routes and adjustments are made to route assignments. Please allow at least 10 minutes for a late bus before calling your school.
We have a school district attendance boundary and transportation eligibility lookup tool on the transportation section of our website. Please check the School District Boundary & Transportation Service Eligibility Tool if you are unsure if your address is transportation service eligible.
For more information on transportation, please visit the IPSD Transportation Page. If you have further questions regarding transportation, please contact the Owen office.
Bus Rider Information
Bus Stop Times:
Your child’s route will be assigned an approximate pick-up and drop-off time. This time may change. Times can vary during the first week and usually a routine is established after the first two weeks.
Bus Stop:
Please practice with your child walking to the bus stop from your home and walking home from the bus stop. Please remind your child to go directly home from his/her bus stop.
Riding Another Bus:
Students are only allowed to ride their assigned bus. Friends riding with friends on an unassigned bus will not be allowed.
MyStop Bus Tracking App
To increase the safety of our students and improve communication about their location while riding district-provided transportation, District 204 has technology called MyStop and the app is available to all District 204 families at no cost and allows parents and guardians to see an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the bus arriving at their child’s specific bus stop.
MyStop:
Allows parents/guardians and students to view the bus stop time, location, and projected arrival time. This feature is available during scheduled route times only.
Updates approximately every 5 seconds and adjusts the scheduled arrival time as the bus is traveling along its route.
Will show if the bus has already passed the assigned stop.
Food Service Information
Indian Prairie School District 204 Food Service is administered by the Department of Support Operations to support and promote the overall well-being of children. Healthy meals and healthy habits are essential for readiness to learn and success in the classroom and beyond.
The $3.15/elementary, $3.25/middle or $3.30/high meal that is available to all students includes: fluid milk, meat/meat alternate, two different fruits and/or vegetables, and breads/grains.
A second reimbursable meal is 100% chargeable to all free/reduced students. They are only entitled to one free/reduced price reimbursable meal. Single items are considered a la carte and do not qualify as a meal for free/reduced. The student's account will be charged for all a la carte items.
Milk purchased separately from a District 204 meal is $0.75 for white milk and $0.85 for chocolate milk.
Indian Prairie School District 204 is now taking applications for the 2023-2024 School Year free and reduced-priced breakfast and lunch. The District uses family income to qualify kids for free, reduced-price, or paid meals. Reduced price is $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch. To apply for free or reduced-price meals, please visit the IPSD 204 Food Services website to download an application. Please return a completed application to: Indian Prairie District 204, Support Services, 780 Shoreline Dr., Aurora, IL 60504 or email to: carol_canada@ipsd.org.
SNAP/TANF HOUSEHOLDS: If you receive a letter that states your child(ren) is eligible for free meals via the direct certification process, you do not have to complete this application to receive free meal benefits. Households that currently receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) for their child(ren), only have to list the child(ren)’s name and at least one SNAP or TANF case number and sign the application. If at least one SNAP/TANF case number is provided for any household member, then all children listed on the application are categorically eligible for free meals. Applications listing LINK card numbers cannot be used for free or reduced-price meals.
Additional Food Service Information:
Menus have been posted. Please note that due to ongoing supply chain issues, menus are subject to change. As much advance notice as possible will be provided to the affected schools.
Please make sure your students have adequate funds on their PushCoin account. Even if your family receives free or reduced meals, a la carte items are “extras” that get charged to their account. You can deposit funds to their account at www.pushcoin.com. Setting up a PushCoin account and reviewing balances and purchases is at no extra cost.
