The Rubik's Cube: A Metaphor for Success
Think about it: What does a Rubik's Cube have to do with my future? Believe it or not, this puzzle starts as a jumbled mess of colors, but can hold valuable lessons that connect directly to your academic and career success! Each face of the cube represents a different aspect of your life – academics, clubs, sports, social time, family commitments, and more. As you know, solving a Rubik's Cube requires strategy, planning, and problem-solving, so does navigating your education and career path. Let's get started on solving this puzzle together!
Your Academic Path
Students are beginning to think about their course selections for next year. This process is important as the courses selected will be utilized to construct the master schedule. Students will begin selecting their courses starting February 10th, resources can be found below. CTE and Work Based Learning
As you explore Career and Technical Educational opportunities, our students are participating in valuable work based learning experiences to discover their passion and talents! Each unique experience encourages problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking skills, which are essential for succeeding in a career.
Biomedical Program
Students in the Biomedical Program presented their research projects to a Rhode Island College Diagnostic Imaging Professor and industry partners. Students explored modalities of diagnostic imaging such as MRI, CT, and X-ray used to inform medical professionals of various conditions.
Construction Program
Students in the Construction Program earned their OSHA 10 certification. Earning an OSHA 10 certification in a high school construction program provides students with a crucial foundation in workplace safety, enhancing their employability and preparing them for a safer and more successful career in the construction industry.
Music Performance and Audio Production Program
Students in the Music Performance and Audio Production programs showcased their talents by performing a lively and energetic rendition of the classic musical, Grease. Students within these programs earned work based learning hours as they collaborated with industry professionals to enhance their production.

Part of solving your own puzzle takes precise decision making skills. There are many opportunities for students to enhance their skills and knowledge outside of the classroom setting. Students interested in supplementing their CTE classroom experiences to earn additional Work-Based Learning hours are encouraged to consult with their CTE program instructor for further information.
