Kindergarten Report Cards

Reminder for Kindergarten families, on Wednesday, January 24, our kindergarten report cards will be available in the X2 Aspen Family Portal. In preparation for these report cards, please make sure you are able to log in to the family portal. Clink on the link below to view a tutorial on accessing the Family Portal:

Families will receive an email from our clerk, Mrs. Murph alerting you that the reports are now posted in the Family Portal. Please reach out to your teacher or Mrs. Murphy murphys@chelmsford.k12.ma.us if you require a paper copy of the report card.

Great Kindness Challenge 1/22 through 1/26

Upcoming Week of January 22nd - Great Kindness Challenge

During the week of January 22nd-26th, Byam School will join thousands of schools across the nation in registering as a Kindness Certified School 2024 and will have be taking part in the national Great Kindness Challenge. Students will have a checklist of kind acts and will be challenged to complete as many kind actions as possible both at school and at home. We will discuss kindness during lunches and daily announcements. We will have the checklist examples in next week's family newsletter letter.

Traffic on School Grounds

As winter is upon and our school grounds become trickier to negotiate with snow and ice. It is important to adhere traffic flow patterns and procedures. Please monitor speed as we have a busy arrival and dismissal times vehicles and pedestrians. The front of the building is designated for buses. When buses are unloading and have their stop signs extended. When dropping off students, please pull up as far as you can on the sidewalks so we can stage several cars and avoid backups. It is also important to have students exit cars on the sidewalk side to avoid traffic. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the safety of everyone during these times.

Help Spread the Word! Kindergarten 2024 Registration

2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

(Approximately 15 minute appointments)

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30 & 31, 2024

9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION CENTRAL OFFICE

230 NORTH ROAD, CHELMSFORD, MA

Visit the Chelmsford Public Schools website. Click on the “RESERVE YOUR APPOINTMENT” link to enter parent/guardian contact information and preferred appointment time within a three-hour window.

You will then be contacted to confirm a date and time for your registration appointment. Registration packets may also be dropped off at the School Administration Office, 230 North Road, Chelmsford, MA: Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., if you are not able to attend these two dates.

In addition to the completed student registration packet, the required documentation to submit is listed on the CPS Student Registration page.

There will be two time slots to accommodate all students!

5:00-6:30 (K-2 recommended)

7:00-8:30 (3-4 recommended)

*Families with multiple children, or schedule conflicts, can choose either time slot!

Sweetheart Dance Volunteers needed!
