As the school year draws to a close, I am amazed at how swiftly time has passed. It is a privilege to be part of such an exceptional school community alongside fellow teachers and parents. I am filled with anticipation for our students transitioning to kindergarten in the fall: it is a significant milestone for them. May our Lord continue to bless each of you as you begin this next phase of your learning journey.

Personally, I eagerly await our returning students as we gear up for the 2024- 25 school year in September! I am pleased that so many of our classes are already full.

National Teacher Appreciation Week begins Monday, May 6th and will be here before you know it!

Our specials teachers are also truly amazing, they are one of the many unique difference makers that distinguishes RBS apart from other schools. Chapel, music, art, sign language, library, Spanish & science bring so much to our program.

We especially want to remember Ms Mary, who is our wonderful RBS Kitchen Manager! She always helps out wherever she can, she prepares and delivers our snacks every day for all the classes, and sets up and takes down the kitchen for the toddlers and twos.

An email regarding the plan for teacher appreciation week was sent out on Tuesday, April 30. It details how we will recognize our wonderful teachers and aides.

We truly have a great RBS family that works together as a cohesive team to provide your child the best learning experience possible!

There is a special addition this year to our picnic! The Little Gym has generously donated an AWESOME BIRTHDAY BASH valued at $300. Your child will be bringing home a red ticket on Wednesday, May 15. Be looking for that ticket- you will need it Thursday night. We will be having the drawing at the picnic at 7:45 to see who the winner will be!!

Our Threes and PreK had a delightful morning celebrating mom and dad during Pastries with Parents. Our students spent some sweet time sharing their creations with mom and dad along with some yummy treats!

We would like to take a moment to express our genuine heartfelt thanks to the Coppell Jimmy Johns on Denton Tap for their generous support in providing lunch for our hardworking Butterfly School staff. Their commitment to serving our community is truly commendable. We are grateful for their continued support. Let’s continue to support our local businesses that make a difference in our community!

Each month our specials teachers post highlights of what is happening in their classes.

We are finishing up our fabulous year with a lesson about the Fruits of the Spirit: kindness, love, joy, peace, patience ,and goodness. Every Bible Story has touched on one or more of these fruits and your children will continue to grow in God’s love by demonstrating fruits of the spirit. Teaching your children has been such a blessing. Our bible verse this month is “Always do good” Galatians 6:10. Have a fruitful summer! Love, Ms. Chris

This year has truly flown by! Watching your sweet children learn and grow has truly been a sweet blessing.

For the last few weeks of school we will be practicing taking turns in circle games and polishing up our spring performance! We will see you on May 16th to celebrate ‘Joy In My Life’!

I hope your little artist enjoyed art class this year. I loved getting to see their talent and passion for art grow. We had a wonderful time learning about Pablo Picasso and this month we will conclude with a new Artist Claude Monet. Have a great summer.

This month we will review what we have learned in Spanish. We will then play our favorite game, 'Mundo de dulces', Candy Land.

We are wrapping up our year in Sign Language to help prepare for our end of year program. Thank you for blessing me with your students this year. We have had so much fun learning and growing together!

Science this month will be all about having fun and enjoying our last two classes together. We’ll be learning about the science of popcorn, then for our last Friday we’ll be eating popcorn (Not the same popcorn!) while we watch Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. These kids have made science so much fun and I’ve enjoyed getting to know each and every student. I hope they'll always have a love of science. Have a fabulous summer!
