Boys Basketball Tryouts will begin on Monday, November 7th. Students were sent a Google Form to put their name on the tryout list. All students interested in trying out MUST have a Sports Physical turned in to the office for this school year. A valid physical is dated after April 15, 2022. Please have your student bring a water bottle and wear a shirt with their name on the back. (This can even be on a piece of tape) Students will not be allowed to stay at school during tryouts for other grade levels.

Romeo Middle School is starting a Game Day dance team! The team will practice in November and December and then perform at 4 boys home basketball games in January. No prior experience is necessary. Introductory practices will be held on November 9th and 16th from 3:15 - 4:45 pm in the auxiliary gym. Weekly practices will be held on Wednesdays from 3:15 - 4:45 pm and prior to game performances. The cost on the team will be $75, more information on pay to participate will be provided by the coaches at the introductory practice. A Google Form will be sent to girls on Monday if they are interested in attending the first practice. If you have any questions, please contact romeomiddledance@gmail.com.

UPDATE--time to sign up is running out!

Club runs on Thursdays in January and the first 2 weeks in February. We leave right after school. (See transportation information below).

Click HERE for the link to the Ski and Snowboard Club website. It has all the information you need to sign up both for the RMS Ski and Snowboard Club and through Pine Knob for their 6-week program (Registration is only open through Nov. 30). PLEASE read ALL the information provided in the overview. There are several payment options through Pine Knob depending on whether your child just needs tickets; tickets and rentals; rentals and lessons; or some combination of these options. Pine Knob's 6-week program is non-refundable and there are no carry-overs if you miss a week. Please read all the information before registering for anything.

Transportation--Romeo Middle is providing transportation free of charge TO Pine Knob this year. Parents, or a designated adult, are required to sign out their children by 7pm--you may stay with your children until the resort closes at 10pm if you choose. Sign up for the bus is in the RMS registration form on the website. NO EQUIPMENT IS ALLOWED ON SCHOOL BUSES to school in the morning--equipment must be dropped off at school, location TBD.

November is a month to reflect on the things in our lives we are grateful for. The RMS counselors appreciate each of our students and their unique personalities. We are fortunate to have staff and administrators who look out for our students. We are thankful for the connections we make with parents as we support their children during the challenges of middle school. We hope that throughout the month of November and all of the year our students and families will find those small things to celebrate and experience a sense of gratitude each day.

*End of Trimester: Friday, November 11th concludes our first trimester. Over the next week, have your child show you their grades on PowerSchool. If you have specific questions, please contact the classroom teacher directly.

*Schedule Changes: As we move into our second trimester, student schedules will change due to new electives, addition of support classes, or to balance class sizes. New schedules will be available in Powerschool Friday November 11th. Please be sure to have your child check Powerschool over that weekend so he or she will know what to expect on the first day of the new trimester.
