Happy New Year! We are so happy to see your children again after a long break.
We have been settling back into our routines, and this month, we are showing how Huskies are good Communicators. This is one of our five core competencies: Collaborators, Communicators, Creators, Critical Thinkers, and Self and Community Aware. Communicators can share ideas and thoughts in multiple ways and listen and hear others' thoughts and ideas.
Our "Self and Community Aware" awards presented at our November assembly are posted in the hallway, and we will soon be featuring our "Communicator" awards from our December assembly.
Our February assembly will focus on how Huskies are Creators. Creators find different ways to invent, produce, and make things.
The February assemblies are on February 6th, from 3:00-3:45 for grades PreK-2, and February 7th from 3:00-3:45 for grades 3-5. Families are always welcome to attend assemblies, volunteer in class, and attend other Hamline Elementary Events.

Attention Fourth & Fifth Grade Families: Murray Middle School Principal McKenzie will be here!
Principal Jamin McKenzie from Murray Middle School will be at Hamline Elementary from 5-6pm during the open house to talk with 4th and 5th grade families about Murray and the transition to Middle School.
This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and meet one-on-one with Principal McKenzie as you think ahead to this milestone.
