Nixon School Read Aloud Was A Hit!

We had another all-school read aloud on Monday, March 27, 2023. All of Nixon School will pause and read at the same time.


With the guidance of the Nixon Equity Committee and staff, we are purposeful when choosing titles that discuss equity.


Book topics chosen for this read aloud and previous read alouds:

  • Racism
  • Gender
  • Family Traditions
  • Culture
  • Neurodiversity
  • Kindness
  • Voting



A point of focus when reading about these important topics is to discuss fairness and encourage critical thinking in the safe environment of school.

Kindergarten Reads- Same, Same and Different
