Greetings MCS Families,
We all made it! I am so proud of our students, teachers, and parent teachers that got us through this school year. This experience has definitely been a challenge in all aspects of life, with parents becoming teachers, staff providing online instruction, and empty halls at MCS. It is a time that will never be forgotten, but I look forward to the future and return in the Fall. Currently our leadership team is putting 'stages' on how things will look in the fall according to the guidance from the CDC and our local health department.
I would like to share how well our students have done this school year with some statistics from Moby Max and Istation. All 185 students were active and answered over 238,000 problems and spent over 159,000 minutes on Moby Max. This does not include other time students spent in google classroom with assignments. Our K-3rd grade students were asked to take the Istation test in which 93 percent of those students took it. WOW!!! Kudos to you and Mrs. Beuhler for her instruction on making this easily accessible. This will really help our staff to have the data to best serve your child in the fall.
We have also made the decision to leave your child's google classroom open for the summer. This includes all of the specialty classes that have great activities to keep your child busy. We will also be renewing our Moby Max license so students can review or get the joke of the day. You should all have access again by Friday.
We ended this year with our Drive by Bye and me, being appropriately dressed, as a giant roll of toilet paper. Thanks to all student and family participation! It was rough because I was only single ply, but with all jokes aside it was as fulfilling for the staff as it was for the students to say goodbye. Thank you Mrs. Bonzo, Mrs. Beuhler and Ms. M. for setting this up and making our last day unforgettable.
