Appleton Echo
Summer Term 1, Week 7
A word from Mr Broom
The first part of the Summer Term is now over and it's been a hugely successful one. Our children and staff have shone in every way and I'm really proud of everyone's achievements. Our staff team now take a break to recharge for the final half term of the year, and there's so much to look forward to. I hope you get chance to have some family time too.
We've had an influx of term time holiday requests, and while I completely understand the differences in holiday cost, the impact on pupil progress cannot be underestimated. I would really appreciate it if you could further consider holidays for next academic year in holiday periods. As this is the case, I've published the exact dates so that you can plan ahead. You can find these on our public school calendar on our website. It really will help to give your child the best possible opportunity of achieving success.
Finally, I look forward to seeing many of you at the sports days and performances we have planned for the second half of summer term.
Have a super half term.

Summer Term 2 - No Clubs
Our Summer Term 2 is a very busy half term with lots of trips/visits, musical performances and events. As such, we won't be hosting clubs this half term but rest assured, they'll be back in Autumn Term 2024.
Thank you to all pupils who came along to our clubs. They've been very popular!

Our Special Certificate Winners this Week
Car Convos!
Talk is really important for all learners in school and we know that our children are exposed to lots of exciting learning opportunities, both at home and at school. To help develop speaking and listening skills and knowledge of the wider world, we're introducing Car Convos! A topic that we share in the newsletter on a Friday, that families can discuss in the car on their travels. We'll then pick this up after the weekend.
This week's Car Convo centres around school holidays.
