Prayer for the Sacrament of Confirmation
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit,
poured out upon us in the Sacrament of Confirmation.
As we stand before You today, we open our hearts
to receive Your grace, Your strength, and Your peace.
Come, Holy Spirit,
fill us with wisdom to know Your will,
understanding to follow Your path,
and courage to live our faith boldly each day.
May the gifts of the Spirit guide our thoughts,
shape our actions, and inspire our words.
Help us to be a light in the world,
a witness to Your love,
and a servant to those in need.
Bless all those being confirmed on Saturday.
May they grow in faith, hope, and love,
and always walk in the footsteps of Christ.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen
Dear Parents, Friends, Guardians and Staff,
Thank you to the families who joined us for our Friendology webinar last night. For those who were unable to attend, we invite you to enjoy the recording at your convenience. As our Catholic Church recognises, parents are the first educators, and with your support, we help our children develop the essential life skill of building quality relationships.
To nurture this growth, our school will be celebrating a Day of Friendships, filled with exciting activities centred around becoming a Friendship Ninja! A big thank you to Mrs Holly Butson and her team for designing this engaging and meaningful day.
Next week is our much-loved โYay Weekโ! As part of our established tradition, there will be no homework for students and no after-school meetings for staff. This initiative supports our commitment to wellbeing, which was also the central theme of the IBSC Conference I recently attended at Hale School. It was affirming to hear from leading experts that our school is on the right path - creating the conditions for our students to truly flourish. Wellbeing is multi-dimensional and deeply enriched by spirituality and a sense of purpose.
We warmly invite you to join us this Saturday evening at our parish church to celebrate our Year 6 Confirmation candidates. This is a sacred sacrament of initiation into the Catholic faith, rich with signs and symbols of Godโs presence. It is a truly special occasion for our students and their families.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend filled with joy, rest, and connection.
Kind regards,
Michael O'Dwyer
Principal

Next Thursday 29th May is our whole school DAY OF FRIENDSHIP event. Students will rotate with their buddy class through many fun social and emotional learning stations supporting them as they develop the new skills they are learning in Friendology. Students are asked to wear sports uniform or ninja dress, minus any accessories (no weapons please), so that they are comfortable for the activities of the day.
Thank you for your support of this important program. Please donโt hesitate to contact me should you have any queries.
Mrs Butson
The library was all things cats and trucks this week as we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime by reading โThe Truck Catโ with the whole of Australia at 10am on Wednesday. Due to some additional orders placed after Book Fair, the re-orders are a little delayed, but I have let the students know that I will deliver their Book Fair books to them as soon as they arrive. I will update again in the newsletter next week. Thank you for your support and patience.
