ALL BULLDOG
Nov 18-24, 2024 Marysville Jr/Sr High School #dogproud364
Principal's Note
Rachel Frye sent me the following email last week: "I have attended MHS football, cheer, basketball, wrestling, and track state championships over the years, but I've never been prouder that my kids are Bulldogs than I was today at the Veteran's Day Ceremony. What a thoughtful and meaningful morning honoring our veterans. Well done Bulldogs!" I couldn't have said it better! Kudos to everyone who made it special for our veterans with the MHS Student Council and FCCLA taking the lead. I heard so many compliments at the breakfast afterwards that I couldn't keep track.
Coming up this Thursday will be an assembly that our police department has organized on the dangers of fentanyl. Chief Matt Simpson and Lieutenant Anthony Escalante recently heard a speaker who lost his son to fentanyl. They wanted to bring this father's powerful message to our student body. Please make sure you ask your student about this assembly and are having conversations about the dangers of this drug. Thank you.

Taps
Grace Turner and her mom, Rebecca Luedders played echoing Taps on their trumpets to conclude the ceremony.
Introductions
One of the most talked about events at the ceremony is the introduction of veterans. Chloe and Leah introduced theirs.
Honor
Students presented the colors in addition to the military branches at the beginning of the Veterans Day ceremony.
Veterans Wall Project Keeping Students Busy
Bulldog Photo Services has 20 students that have been working on digitizing over 3,000 Marshall County Veterans information that is current in paper form. This has been an ongoing project since August. Vincent Wells can be seen here asking a couple questions about a name that he is preparing to capture in the computer.
Bulldogs of the Week
Junior High-Aubrey Lawrence, nice job on your introduction of a veteran!
Flowers & Fishing At Country Living
On Thursday, students did a Flowers and Fishing with Friends service project at Country Living. This was made possible because the Marysville FFA received a National FFA Semester Long Living to Serve Grant. Members made floral arrangements and took some of them fishing outside!
