SHS Students Experience Trip of a Lifetime in Europe
In early July, SHS Students visited London and Paris with chaperones Mrs. Dykes and Mrs. Buck (and a few Raider parents). They experienced a theater performance at Trafalgar Theater in London, took a theater class in the heart of the theater district, had afternoon English Tea, learned to play Cricket, visited Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Abbey Road, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, and Big Ben; and that was just London!
They also rode the Eurostar over to Paris and spent a few days enjoying the sights. They took an art class where they painted like Monét, visited Montmartre (site of the real-life Moulin Rouge!) and placed some locks on the famous Love Locks Bridge, visited the Louvre where we saw the Mona Lisa, visited The Arc de Triomphe, The Palace of Versailles, Notre Dame Cathedral, Shakespeare and Company, and ascended The Eiffel Tower.
They left with life-long memories, jet-lag, once in a lifetime experiences, and feeling like family. Next summer, they are off to Greece! If you are interested in joining, be on the lookout for e-mails and posters with information in the fall.

What Are SHS Activity Fees Used For?
Class activity fees are used to assist student leadership in planning and executing special events throughout the year. The fees are set based on the needs of the class - as you can imagine, seniors have more events and needs than ninth graders. A great example of an event would be homecoming.
These fees are recommended by not mandatory. A specified list is below. You may need to use your laptop to view them.
