PR on the Hill this Friday, October 11th
PR on the Hill
Join fellow PR classmates and families for a tailgate and to cheer on the Saline Hornets as they take on the Lincoln Railsplitters on 10/11 at the SHS football stadium. The PR tailgate will be 5:00 PM - 6:15 PM with kickoff at 7:00 PM.
The PR tailgate will be in a new location this year (due to construction at SHS) - please see the map below. We will chalk and have balloons to help guide families there!
Football game tickets are $6 each and must be purchased online. Click here to purchase tickets! This game is also the Orange Out to support the ChadTough Foundation. Wear your PR/Saline spirit gear or your orange to show your support!
For the families planning to attend the game, we will head to the stadium around 6:20 PM so the kids can form the tunnel for the Hornets as they take the field prior to kickoff! Pleasant Ridge students and families will be gathering on the northeast hill next to the visitor's stands if you'd like to watch the game with classmates!
We are looking for some help setting up, distributing food/drinks, and then breaking down the tailgate. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, sign up here.
*Please note: this is not a drop-off event. Students must be accompanied by an adult.*

Bubble Run
Thursday 9/26 kicked off a very important fun and healthy way to raise money for students of Pleasant Ridge Elementary, our annual fun run - BUBBLE RUN.
The purpose of the Bubble Run is to promote a healthy and educational environment for all students. Monies raised from the fundraiser will go towards a variety of items for the school and students. These include, but are not limited to; field trips, author/reader visits, classroom/building needs, a literacy hub makeover, and updating the courtyard to include new tables, shade tents and basketball rims. With your fundraising efforts, all of this is possible!
OUR TOTAL SCHOOL GOAL is $20,000.00
• Our goal is to have 100% of all students registered online! It’s easy, FREE, and takes just a few quick minutes! Click here to register for FREE!
• Each student who registers will receive a Bubble Wand
• Help meet each school benchmark and earn these school-wide incentives:
✓ $5,000 – BUBBLE Gum chewing day
o $10,000 – WACKY hair & wear day and EXTRA recess
o $15,000 – Mrs. Hughes KISSES a farm animal
o $20,000 – Teacher DUNK TANK
The fun run will take place on Thursday 10/17 at the following times based on grade level:
- 9:05 - 9:40 AM - 3rd Grade
- 9:45 - 10:20 AM - 2nd Grade
- 10:25 - 11:00 AM - Kindergarten
- 11:05 - 11:40 AM - 1st Grade/Y5s
Donations will be accepted until Thursday 10/31 at 11:59 PM.
There are a lot of volunteer opportunities available for the Bubble Run! During the fun run, the students will also be participating in a school beautification project where EVERY student will have the opportunity to plant a flower bulb on school grounds. We will need some volunteers on Wednesday 10/16 to prepare for planting. If you would like to help on 10/16 or 10/17, please sign up here.
Please contact Amanda Harvey at fundraising@prpta.org with any questions.
