We are in the home stretch to finishing up coursework in Aleks. Students should be at 80% completion by Sunday, November 24th. In Algebra 2, we just finished systems of equations and inequalities, parent function transformations and are getting ready to factor polynomials. In PreCalculus, we just finished our Graphs and Functions unit and are getting ready to finish the semester with polynomials and a bit of trigonometry.- Mrs. Trendelman
Turkey Day is amongst us and family time. Please don't forget about getting math Aleks Percentage's to 80% by Sunday, November 14th. Topics are fewer and fewer. I encourage students to send me topics and I can make video on the material if I can. Please don't wait to do Aleks, work during Thanksgiving break to make certain you are at the percentage so you have time to take your Final Knowledge check and work back up if need be. Chances are good you have math to do, so work work work and that will make the end of the semester more managable. Friday's I am available all morning for help in Math.- Mr. Beadles

English
English 1 students presented their reimagined Romeo and Juliet Movie Trailers on November 18th where an award was given for the 'most captivating movie trailer'. The question driving student work was: "Through the lens of cinematic and literary artistry, how can we develop the human experience and connect with perspectives beyond our own?". Students collaborated in small groups to create engaging trailers, while also practicing valuable standards and skills through dramatic writing, speaking, and active listening. It was a memorable 'Movie Showing' day to celebrate student's hard work and engagement with this project! - Mrs. Hill-Needham

They will engage in research and writing workshops to craft stories, poems, and essays that highlight the challenges in our society with the goal of sharing the digital anthology with our school community as we wrap up our fall semester.
