Summer Reading and Math Work Links

Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s),

We are excited to kick off Shelton’s Summer Reading and Math Program! One of the most important gifts you can give your child is the joy of reading and developing critical math skills. Shelton Public Schools participates in the Connecticut State Department of Education's Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge and Shelton’s Summer Math Challenge during the summer months.

Students will no longer have access to their online accounts. This year, students will be completing a paper and pencil math calendar for incoming Kindergarteners through third graders. Your child(ren) will use the calendars to follow the numeracy tasks. In addition, students should complete the summer reading journal using the Google Form link below.

Complete the online summer reading form and return the completed math calendars to your child’s teacher by Friday, August 29, 2025.
