Severe Weather Week - Tornado Drill
Hard to believe with our current weather but spring has sprung. With spring comes severe weather awareness time. We will be participating in the Minnesota statewide Severe Weather Awareness Week next week and conduct our severe weather drill on Thursday April 10th at 1:45.
Nerf Wars
We recently learned that some students are playing the game called ‘Nerf Wars.’ Nerf Wars is an activity involving a Nerf dart gun where team members shoot foam darts at each other. This game can become dangerous and especially if/when vehicles are involved. In other communities, this game has resulted in vehicle accidents, student injuries and at least one tragic death.
Nerf Wars are not school sponsored and are in violation of school rules at North High School. Please know that North High School and ISD 622 do not in any way sponsor, allow or condone Nerf Wars on district property. Students that bring a Nerf gun to school or participate in this game on school property will be assigned significant school consequences.
We are bringing this to your attention today in hopes of protecting the safety of all students. Please talk to your student and explain the potential dangers of this game and the potential for school consequences. Please contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Principal Wolff
