Principal's Corner
Justiss Friends & Families,
It is hard to believe this is my last Justiss Newsletter of my career!
I want to take this time to thank you for sharing your students with me and allowing me to serve as your Justiss Principal for the last 16 years and as the assistant principal prior to that! These have been the best 18 years I could ever imagine!
I am, without a doubt, going to miss my Justiss family, my Justiss students, and my Justiss community, but I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life as well. The two decades of relationships with families I have grown mean more to me than anything and I will cherish these bonds forever.
I want to thank everyone for their support and friendships over the years and look forward to keeping up with my Justiss kids through their athletics and other events!
Thank you for the memories and love - and for the greatest “job” anyone could ever have, I will miss you all!
With great love and sincerity…YOUR PROUD PRINCIPAL,
Reneé Elmore

Keeping Your Child Safe on the Internet
Happy May Days! We had a very informative training last year called “Keeping Your Child Safe on the Internet”...It was so good and sooo important, we wanted to repost it as we head towards summer! Please take a few moments to access the following links to view the presentation. I think you will find it to be very valuable and thought provoking information, when considering the time, content, supervision, and access your child has to the internet, apps, video games, and Youtube. Summer is ahead and with a lot of down time…there is a temptation to let technology entertain our children. While a little of the right stuff on the internet can be very beneficial and fun; too much of a good thing,... can be a bad thing!
There are 2 links; one in English and one in Spanish. Please contact our social worker, Shelby Jamar if you would like any additional information… and also see the additional handouts/information regarding how to set parameters and restrictions on Youtube, along with other great tips from Common Sense Media for Parents.
Enjoy the activity attached for you and your child(ren) to come up with 10 things to do instead of technology! Have a great end of the school year!
Love,
Mrs. Irwin, Ms. Raney and Ms. Jamar
