MAY 10TH UPDATE
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
May has arrived! From everyone here at CIS, we would like to send Happy Mother's Day wishes to all the great moms out there! We appreciate all that you do everyday, and hope you are all spoiled on your special day!
The last month of school will go quickly and there will be lots of great activities taking place for students and families. Please contact the CIS office with any questions or concerns.
APRIL STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
Adalynn Nieto
Adalynn is a very independent, hard working, and kind student. She gives her personal best every day on all she does and makes a point to treat others with kindness, the way she wants to be treated. Adalynn is liked by all and is such a bright light in our classroom!
Travis Almeida
Travis actively seeks out opportunities to help his teachers and his classmates which shows how much he cares for others. He is also putting 100% into his class work, which reflects his strong work ethic and dedication to learning. Good job Travis!
Raileigh DeLarosa
Raileigh is a very dependable and respectful student. She is always on task, takes her learning seriously, and has a positive attitude. We're very grateful to have Raileigh as a part of our class!
Maggie Bank
Maggie is a bright and friendly student. She asks for help when needed, she is a good friend, and she is enjoyable to be around. Maggie can be depended on to do the right thing, and she is a joy to have in class!
Vivienne Herzog
Vivienne continues to step up to the challenges that fifth grade provides! She is considerate of others, and appreciates the diversity and creativity in our world. Vivienne is incredibly independent, and will certainly continue to reach great heights in her future!
Cruz Peterson
Cruz is an great example of Mustang Pride. He is engaged and participating in class, always does his best and is a role model to others. He takes pride in his work and it shows. We are lucky to have him as part of our class.
Sophia Parks
Sophia has a heart of gold! She is kind and caring--always looking to bring a smile to those around her. Our world is a brighter place with Sophia in it!
Clairah Richards-Bouchard
Clairah is an amazing student and classmate. She puts her heart into everything she does. She is always working to the best of her ability, never has any missing assignments and she cares about her friends, her class, and her school. Way to go, Clairah! You are awesome!
Jackson Kovalcik
Jackson has a natural curiosity for Science and participates in all of his classes. He is a hard worker and a polite young man. It has been a pleasure to see his growth throughout the year!
Emma Cowell
Emma is an excellent student and awesome friend. She enters the room everyday with a smile on her face and a great work ethic. She even keeps me in line. Helpful is an understatement, she is on Pride Council member and truly cares on what goes on in her class, school and community. She will be greatly missed, but I expect she will keep an eye on me!
Talia Smith
Talia is an excellent student who works hard everyday. She takes pride in her work and is very organized. Talia is a great role model because she makes good choices and has a sweet personality. Her classmates enjoy being around her. I truly enjoy having Talia in my classroom this year.
Carter Devereaux
Carter has been shining this past month. I have watched him grow all year long in his confidence. He is coming out of his shell and willing to share his thoughts and ideas with the rest of the class. He is an excellent student, a motivated learner, and is beginning to see all of his hard work this year pay off. He is a kid with character and represents P.R.I.D.E. every day. We have been so blessed to have Carter in our class this year.
Landen Deim-Baughman
Landen is a kind and considerate student who shows respect for both peers and teachers. He is hard-working and consistently tries his best to finish his work. He has made very significant progress this school year. It has been a pleasure having him as a student, and I have no doubt that he will accomplish anything he puts his mind to.
Jaynie DeLaGarza
Jaynie shows PRIDE in the classroom and throughout the school. She has been working so hard to stay on task and complete her work. She has a way of bringing joy and laughter to our classroom. She is a pleasure to have in our class.
Elena Musselman
Elena is a sweet young girl who works very hard in class. She is always respectful to everyone around her! She is a perfect example of PRIDE! I enjoy seeing her every day!
Emma Mitchell
Emma is a wonderful addition to our class. She engages in the learning and is always prepared to share her thoughts and ideas. She completes all of her assignments on time and strives to do her very best in all academic areas. I am especially impressed by the way she treats others. She is very helpful and kind to her classmates. She is a fine example of CLIO Pride.
Heath Corcoran
Heath is a hardworking student who meets and exceeds PRIDE expectations. He is a leader in the classroom by quietly showing others what to do, how to do it, and what is expected. Heath is a pleasure to have in class each day.
SPRING CLEANUP AT CIS
After a special visit to learn more about Clio Kindness, the Unified Crew and PRIDE Council members worked together to clean up trash from the playground and front of the school.

June 11 - 4th Grade Honor Roll recognition
- We are finalizing plans for a program in the morning to recognize 4th Grade students who have earned Honor Roll certificates all four marking periods.
- We are also finalizing plans for a celebration in the afternoon to send our fifth grade students off to the middle school. We would also recognize our Honor Roll students as well.

CIS APRIL BEHAVIOR DATA
APRIL ATTENDANCE INCENTIVE RESULTS
- We met the goal of 93% for the month of April! The whole school has earned extra recess.
- The 5th Grade had a higher attendance percentage than the 4th Grade by one percentage point and will get to choose a theme day for their grade.
- The grade level winners were Mrs. McCarthy for 4th Grade and Mrs. Turnage for 5th Grade.
- We appreciate student and parent support in meeting our goal!
5TH GRADE BAND FOR NEXT YEAR
