Introducing Jamf Parent on All Student Devices
We are thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to our technology resources that will empower you to have greater visibility and control over your child's digital learning experience. We have rolled out Jamf Parent across all student devices within Lakeville Area Schools.
Jamf Parent is a powerful tool designed to help you monitor and manage your child's device usage on your Android or iOS device, ensuring a safer and more productive digital environment. With Jamf Parent, you'll have access to features to manage your child's device while at home between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 am M-F and from 4:00 pm Friday through 6:00 am Monday (weekends).
National Honor Society Applications
Emails have been sent to eligible sophomores and juniors to apply for National Honor Society. A minimum GPA of 3.7 was required to receive this email.
- Applications are due NO LATER than Friday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m.
- No late applications will be accepted.

Summer Physical Education/Health Online Class Offerings
Enrollment for summer PE and/or Health is now open. Each course is available at a cost of $400. Enrollment closes on Wednesday, May 15 and is available on a first come, first serve basis. To register, see the links below:

PhyEd Course
This summer course fulfills the Physical Education requirement for the Class of 2027 and the Physical Education elective requirement for the Class of 2024, 2025, & 2026. This course is delivered 100% online. This course has an exercise component included. Each student is required to complete a minimum of 3 hours of exercise each week. Exercise will be recorded on a fitness log and documented using a Heart Rate Monitor that will be provided. Data will be downloaded and submitted to the instructor on a weekly basis.
Health Course
This course is the study of various topics related to the condition of a person’s physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. The primary units of study include nutrition, mental health and stress management, family life, noninfectious disease, substance abuse, first aid and CPR. The students will demonstrate learning through completion of assignments, tests, and projects. The students will be expected to plan nutritious meals and develop a healthy weight management plan; research a noninfectious disease and develop a lesson to teach the class; examine characteristics of mental health and mental disorders; examine the effects of stress and practice coping skills; evaluate reasons to postpone sexual activity and practice refusal skills; examine the risks of commonly abused drugs; demonstrate proper CPR and AED techniques; and demonstrate first aid skills.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m., no entry past 9:00 p.m. No re-entry (once a student leaves, they may not re-enter).

- Who can attend? This event is open to all Juniors and Seniors. Sophomores may attend if invited by an upper classman. This event is not open to Freshmen. No guests over 20 years old.
- If a student brings a guest from outside of the Lakeville School District, the Guest Form needs to be filled out and returned in advance of the event. These can be retrieved from the Dean's Office or you can print a copy at home (Click Here).
- Tickets: Dance tickets are ONLY available online. No ticket sales at the door. You will need your student ID number to purchase tickets. Order at LSHS GoFan.
- Parking options: $20 (Self parking), $15 (Valet) or $30 (Overnight parking). Complimentary self parking is also available in the East and West MOA parking ramps.

Lakeville Varsity Cheer
Congratulations to Lakeville Varsity Competition Cheer for their 2nd place finish at The Quest Championship in Orlando, Florida in March. The team competed in a two day event against ten other teams and placed 2nd with their highest score of the season and a zero deduction routine! Way to go Competition Cheer!
Lakeville South Olympic Weightlifting defends team titles
The Lakeville South High School Olympic Weightlifting team defended both of their team titles at this year’s State Weightlifting Championships held earlier in March in Cannon Falls.
The Varsity division took the top spot for the 5th consecutive year with 42 points. The Junior Varsity division scored 54 points, earning the top spot for the 6th consecutive year.
Individual champions from the Cougars weightlifting team include:
- Addison Eicher - 8th grade - JV - 59 kg
- Helen Jager - 9th grade - JV - 64 kg
- Elijah Hathaway - 10th grade - JV - 61 kg
- Miguel Romero Colon - 9th grade - JV - 81 kg

📣 National Honor Society - An all member NHS meeting will be held at either 7:30 a.m. or 2:45 p.m. in the Lecture Hall on Wednesday, April 10.

Cougar Marching Band in Ireland
Our 110 member Lakeville South Marching Cougars left their mark in Ireland! They had the incredible experience of marching in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland entertaining over 650,000 spectators from across the World. They also performed for thousands of spectators at Kilkenny Castle before marching the streets of Kilkenny celebrating St. Patrick's Day across Ireland! To top it off, they took top prize in the 52nd International Band Championship Parade. Our marching Cougars were awarded Overall Grand Champion and Best International Band. So amazing!!

Chess Club
Earlier this month, four members of our Chess Club competed in the Minnesota State Scholastic Championship at St. Thomas University. Member names are Cade Sigl, Cole Kinney, Jake Ebersole, and Nick Lehmann. Over 120 students from schools around Minnesota competed in this tournament. Lakeville South earned the award for 7th best team in the state. Jake Ebersole placed 8th and Cade Sigl placed 3rd. Cade also qualified for a closed playoff tournament at a later date. Very impressive showing - congratulations team!

Save the Date! Job Fair coming to LSHS
Lakeville North and Lakeville South in partnership with the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a job fair on Thursday, April 18. Students can get a jumpstart on finding a summer job. Currently, over 20 businesses and organizations in Lakeville and surrounding communities have agreed to participate.
Students will be able to walk around the gymnasium , gather information and visit with representatives. It's a great way for students to not only find potential employment, but also work on their networking and interviewing skills.They will be hiring students from as young as age 14 to 18+.
Information on how students can sign up to attend the job fair during school hours will be communicated soon. Lakeville South's job fair will be held in the performance gym from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18.

- Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) – Join DCTC for the Spring Open House on Thursday, April 4 from 3-6 p.m. Summer classes start May 15 and Fall classes start August 26. Find out how to pay for college and apply for financial aid. Application fee waived for people who apply that day. RSVP to learn about admissions and get your college questions answered.

SeniorCare.com continues to bring more awareness to the key issues we face as an aging population. For the 9th consecutive year, we will be awarding an annual college scholarship to an individual that best demonstrates to us why "Aging Matters" to them. A $1500 scholarship will be given annually to a selected college student that currently cares for an aging loved one, works within the senior community, or intends to pursue a career that will have an impact on the elder population. Any existing student (or incoming freshman), in good academic standing, at a 2 or 4 year accredited college can apply for this scholarship. The recipient will demonstrate a unique and admirable understanding and desire to show us that "Aging Matters" to them.

Minnesota State University Mankato - American Indian Summer Camp This camp is for American Indian high school students entering grades 9-12 and gives them the opportunity to visit and experience a university campus, so they may begin envisioning themselves attending.The camp will be hosted at MSU, Mankato from Monday, June 24 to Thursday, June 27 with 40 spots available.
