Special Thanks!
During the Fall season, we have seen many ways in which our programs are supported throughout the community. Whether it be a kind word, friendly message or just a warm smile, Byron is constantly demonstrating an amazing community mindset. One of these occasions was on display in our gym in October. Our volleyball program put on an amazing show with their Powdertuff Volleyball contest and the Dig Pink game. While both were very entertaining, it was the cause that demonstrates how passionate and caring our community can be. Through the support of the community and program, our Volleyball program raised over $11,000 to support the Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center Care Fund. The donation will directly impact countless lives, helping to provide supplies and services to those in need. Bravo to our community, program, coach and her great staff for making a difference in others lives. Keep up the amazing work!
Friday Night 5G Lights Award
T-Mobile launched the 'Friday Night 5G Lights' program which was open to thousand of small towns across the country. Small communities throughout the nation competed through their social media accounts to try and acquire funds for their school to put towards athletic facilities. The winning school would receive a package valued at $2 million. While we fell a bit short of the grand prize, our community demonstrated their spirit level and made sure we did not leave the competition empty handed. Our passion was noticed and we were awarded $5,000 from T-Mobile to put towards our athletic facility. Thank you to our amazing community and T-Mobile for the constant support! Go Eagles!
