No Limits Nebraska Youth Leadership Team Applications Rolling Out April 1, 2024!!
Have you heard? No Limits Nebraska Youth Leadership Team is coming back! Some of you may recall a youth movement for tobacco prevention and cessation called No Limits. Due to funding and COVID, this group has not been active.
The best news is we are calling on youth from all corners of Nebraska to apply and join a movement to take down big tobacco! Did you know, in 2021, according to YRBS data, 23% of Nebraska high school students reported using some kind of commercial tobacco product in the past year? Nearly half of those reporting they actively use tobacco products have tried to quit.
Please encourage your incoming 9th through 11th grade youth to apply! Applications will be available beggining April 1. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn leadership skills and take down big tobacco Nebraska!
Important Dates:
May 10, 2024: Applications for Youth Leadership Team are DUE by 11:59pm May 10.
NOTE: No Limits Nebraska is asking for a short letter from an adult, this could be a teacher, counselor, school nurse or even a parent. Someone who would be willing to let us know that the student applying for the leadership team has deomonsrated responsibility and commitment. We will need student to engage with the team for at least a year. The letter does not need to be lengthy, a short note is just fine!
