Juniors and Seniors: Prom 2025 will be held at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on Saturday, April 19th from 8 to 11 p.m. The theme this year is Lost in the Cosmos! Tickets will be sold the week of April 14 -18 before school, during lunch, and after school.

Join the Golden High School Parent Academy on April 24th and meet America's Got Talent golden buzzer winner Mandy Harvey, hosted by GHS school resource officer D. Hyde. This inspiring evening will be focused on overcoming life's challenges and what is needed to be successful in coming out stronger in the end. Hear her story, enjoy her singing and be inspired. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will end at 8 p.m. Admission is free but it is a ticketed event so claim your tickets soon. All the information needed, including a QR code to claim tickets, is on the flyer. Hope to see you there.

The Golden High School's DemonX Conference is upon us! Please come celebrate the hard work of our honors freshmen English students as they present their semester long work on their passion projects. Below, please find information on when and where to come and enjoy these presentations and who will be presenting. We hope to see you there.

Senior Yard Signs are here! Although preordering has closed, you can still purchase a sign in the Main Office for $30, payable by cash or check (made out to GHS Volleyball). Each sign is double-sided, includes a metal frame, and comes with a '2025' sticker.

If you preordered a sign, please visit the Main Office to pick it up.

The big day is almost here—just 35 days until graduation! 🎓 As you prepare to embark on your next adventure, here are some important tasks to complete before the big day:

1. Pay Any Outstanding Fees/Fines
2. Return library books
3. Complete Exit Survey in Naviance
4. Download Google Files

Please join the Golden Community in providing a safe and memorable Golden High School DISCO Themed After Prom Party for our students. All Junior and Senior students and their guests are invited to attend the FREE party on Saturday April 19, 2025. All Juniors & Seniors may attend - even if they do not go to Prom and regardless of attendance or grades.

We need help for set-up, during the party, and for breakdown/cleanup. The party itself gets started at 10:30 p.m. and ends at 1:30 a.m.. The students rely on our entire community to pull off this fun and engaging event, so please consider how you, your friends, neighbors and family can help make it happen! Help needed Friday April 18 AND Saturday April 19 -and new this year- we are hosting a "Prop Build Party" on Saturday April 12! For more details and to sign up, visit the Signup Genius.

Students and parents are invited to Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen team’s College Fair on Monday, April 14, from 5 - 7:30 PM MT at Bear Creek High School. RSVP here.

• At the College Fair, you’ll get a chance to meet with representatives from colleges and universities and learn about the admissions process, campus life, and more.

• The Colorado Department of Higher Education will also give a presentation on how to apply for federal student aid and submit the FAFSA.

• You can also explore the many scholarships available to Colorado students and meet directly with top scholarship foundations.

Register for the presentations above. All registrants will receive a recording of the event even if they are unable to attend the live date.

College 4 All, also known as C4A, is a program designed to bring concurrent enrollment opportunities to students across the district who may not have equitable access to these opportunities within their home high school.

Students join these courses virtually in real-time with other students from Jeffco Public high schools. There is no cost to students for these courses.

There will be drop-in Postsecondary Opportunities (PSO) virtual office hours for students, families, and staff to assist with registration and answer questions. Just join on any of the following dates using this Google Meet link!

Tuesdays from 2 - 3 p.m. from 3/11-4/22 (no office hours on 3/18 or 3/25)

Fridays from 12 -1 p.m. from 3/14-4/25 (no office hours on 3/21, 3/28, or 4/18)

Mini-Summer Session Registration: March 10th-May 21st, 2025

Fall Registration Registration: March 10th- August 8th, 2025

Your student can register to attend these visits in their Naviance account. It’s an excellent opportunity to get their foot in the door or to ask questions that will help them decide where to go! These visits occur in the counseling office at GHS. Advanced registration is required.

• Colorado State University: 4/17 at 10 a.m.

• University of Kansas: 4/21 at 11 a.m.

The Jeffco Student Leadership Board invites high school students to the second annual Student Leadership Conference. This student-led event is designed to help you transform big ideas into tangible change in your school and community.

What to Expect:

• Keynote address by Adam Baca, Jeffco alumnus & Day Without Hate founder

• Engaging breakout sessions, including College Mythbusters, Mock Interviews, and Leveraging Social Media for Success

• Resource fair featuring local colleges and organizations

• Student performances

• Breakfast and lunch included

When: April 25, 2025, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Transportation: Drive yourself or take a bus from district pick-up locations

Cost: FREE - including meals!

A couple of GHS track athletes who attend Compass Montessori have organized a Springtime Sprint 5k as part of a school project. Come have an awesome time and race in the 5k or Fun Run on April 26th, 2025 at the Compass Montessori Golden Campus! There will be T-shirts, snacks, and awards for top 3 finishers per age category. All proceeds will go to Compass Montessori.

Please Note: Athletic Registration Platform will be changing next school year (2025-26). Jeffco schools will no longer be using the rschools athletic registration and ALL families will be required to create a new family account. Only one family account per athlete is permitted. If you have a sports physical attached to the current registration platform, you will need to save it as it will not be carried over to the new platform. The CHSAA sports physical form will be the only form accepted moving forward. A sports physical is required for athletic registration and is good for 365 days.
