Juniors and Seniors - On Wednesday at 2:55, your passwords will change. New passwords will be available in advisory Wednesday. If you will not be in the building at that time, please stop by the SLC to get your new password. Seniors, your parents will also have your password emailed to them via IC.

A group of French students from near Paris will be visiting Wisconsin from February 8-February 27, 2025! These students are interested in language and cultural immersion … as well as making new friends!

The experience lasts only a few weeks, but the friendships will last a lifetime!

Parents, PLEASE REPORT ALL ATTENDANCE IN INFINITE CAMPUS. You are able to enter your request directly into IC at any time of day, even for short notice or late requests. (Instructions). If you are concerned that the office staff is not receiving your IC absence request, please make sure you allow push notifications for the Infinite Campus app on your phone. Once the IC request is processed you will get a notification.
As a back-up, you can leave a message on the attendance line, 608-838-4657, or email mhsattendance@mcfsd.org.

AAAAAA CHOOO! Cold & Flu Season
‼️ Please review DHS update regarding increased Pertussis cases in Wisconsin‼️ You can also find information and resources linked in the article. Please reach out to your medical provider with questions, Thank you!
With the cold and flu season in full swing, please review our Guidelines for sending your child to school. Flu/Cold medication is not available in the Health Office (only Tylenol & Ibuprofen). Remember, if your child is sick please keep them home and seek medical evaluation as needed. Students will be sent home with the following symptoms:
Temperature above 100.4°F
Vomiting or diarrhea
Frequent uncontrollable cough
Your child should remain at home until fever, vomiting/diarrhea has stopped for 24 hours without the use of medication. If they have been prescribed antibiotics, please see the MSD Health Services Handbook and DHS Wisconsin Childhood Communicable Disease guidelines for when they may return to school. As well, please notify the School/Health Office if your student has tested positive for a communicable disease such as: Influenza/Flu, Covid 19, Pneumonia, Strep Throat, RSV, Hand Foot & Mouth, Pertussis, etc.

Spartan Nation Update
Volleyball: Had a good week with a win over Sun Prairie East in the WIAA regional semi final but a tough loss to Mukwonago in the WIAA regional final. Congratulations on a very nice season, and thank you to Tommy Moriarty, Morgan Jensen, Coach Luke and Coach Joey for all the time and energy they put in as coaches this season.
Girls Swimming: Had a non conference meet vs. Monona Grove and competed well. They are getting ready for the Badger Small Conference meet next Saturday.
Boys Soccer: Had a successful week with wins over Monroe and Platteville/Lancaster to be WIAA Regional Champs. Congrats. The team is onto the Sectional Semifinal on Thursday in Evansville. Good Luck.
Cross Country: Had a very good showing at the WIAA Sectional Meet on Friday. Girls team took 5th and the boys team took 3rd. CONGRATULATIONS TO ISAAC EWING for taking 1st Place in the boys race and being the Sectional Champion. Also a big congratulations to Spencer Alf and Henry Piec for qualifying for the state meet. Good Luck next Saturday at the WIAA State Cross Country meet.
MHS Dance: Is competing today (Sunday) at the Edgewood showcase. Good luck.

Summary from the 10/21/24 School Board Meeting:
In addition to their regular duties of approving minutes, staffing, and expenses, here are some highlights from the meeting:
Aaron Tarnutzer and Megan Chatman gave an update from the Business and Education Partnership group.
Board Member Tom Mooney shared an update on the Wisconsin Virtual Academy and the recent CESA 2 Board of Control meeting.
Action items that were acted upon included:
The Board approved changes to the 2024-25 budget.
The Board approved a joint letter from the Village of McFarland and McFarland School Board to be sent to Legislators regarding funding.
