Open Enrollment Insurance Changes went into effect July 1.

If you have lost your medical or dental ID card you can view/print a new one at:

• www.myuhc.com
• www.deltadentalia.com

Remember VSP does not issue member ID cards; however, you can print one through your online account at www.vsp.com.

Insurance changes outside of open enrollment cannot be made without a qualifying event:

• Marriage (within 30 days)
• Death (within 30 days)
• Divorce (within 30 days)
• Loss/Addition of other coverage (within 30 days)
• New baby/Adoption (within 60 days)

UnitedHealthcare is updating their Prescription Drug List (PDL) on September 1, 2022. Below you will find links to the new PDL and a summary of the updates for your review. You will receive a letter from UnitedHealthcare if your medication is changing tiers or coverage. If your medication is changing to a higher tier, you may want to discuss options with your doctor.

The Sioux City Community School District provides access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through UnitedHealthcare and National Insurance Services - LifeWorks.

Care24 is available to employees and their dependents who are covered by the District’s Health Plan. Care24 provides 24/7 unlimited, confidential, and professional services to help find solutions for health concerns, personal and family issues, along with work challenges that you may be facing. National Insurance Services – LifeWorks

Services through LifeWorks provides eligible employees with access to masters level counselors 24-hours a day through a toll-free number (Ph: 866-451-5465), up to three free in-person assessment and counseling sessions, legal assistance, financial assistance, childcare and eldercare assistance, and memorial planning assistance.

Confidentiality
Your EAP assistance is confidential and conforms to HIPAA regulations. No names are identified or reported to anyone without your written authorization except in the following situations: by court order, imminent threat of harm to self or others, or situations of abuse (such as child or elder abuse).

Sioux City, Iowa's premier running event. Featuring a 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon and Full Marathon. All courses will be Flat, Fast & Fun! Starting and Finishing at the Siouxland Expo Center and continuing on the Missouri River Trail next to it. Proceeds will help support the efforts of the H.A.R.T. Foundation. The Healthiest State 12th Annual Walk will be held on Wednesday, October 5. The 2022 theme is “Walk More. Connect More.” We know now more than ever how important being both physically active and socially connected is to our physical and mental health. The goal is to participate in 30 minutes of physical activity.
