WIDA Access Testing Reports
We want to thank everyone for the role you played in our annual WIDA Access Testing. FHPS will receive individual score reports in early August and will work to mail these to your residence by the end of the month. The score reports will also be shared with teachers and filed in students' cumulative information files.

Upcoming Community Events
- Bilingual at Blandford: Join guide Kas Valtierra of Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities for a new interactive summer series along Blandford Nature Center’s paved accessible trail. During the walk, Kas will identify plants, wildlife, and ecosystems in both Spanish and English that you can view with provided binoculars. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice mindfulness and tap into your senses, taking moments of silence to listen to wonderful sounds of nature. Each participant will leave with an informational bilingual zine featuring plants and wildlife that can be found at Blandford and a free day pass to return, explore, and identify on your own! FREE! Registration Required. Children ages 3 and under do not need to register.
- Grand Rapids Lantern Festival: Running through June 16, the Grand Rapids Lantern Festival is a truly breathtaking experience for all ages. The lantern festival will feature handcrafted Asian lantern displays that will illuminate the Zoo and tell the intersecting story of wildlife and Asian culture.
- FHPS Summerstock Presents Newsies: Tickets go on sale in late May. Shows will take place on June 27, 28, & 29.
- Summer Wonder at KDL! This year, we will take you on a Summer Wonder journey of reading, learning, and experiencing! The challenge is designed for multiple learning styles to keep families engaged and inspired. KDL is excited to bring you a speactular summer of outdoor discovery, scavenger hunts, STEAM activities, and lots of fun for everyone.
Perk Passes to Area Attractions
Kent District Library has partnered with area attractions to provide our patrons with access to complimentary guest passes to area museums and botanical gardens. More partnerships may be added over time.
KDL patrons ages 18 and above can use their library card to reserve free passes to attractions and experiences around the county. Cardholders can reserve passes online, print their passes at any branch and visit their attraction on the date they reserved.
