LaLiberte Weekly Update
October 25, 2024
Dear LaLiberte Families:
This past week, we conducted bus evacuation drills for all our students riding the bus. We are also focusing on rewarding positive bus behavior with a new incentive program beginning next week! Ask your bus rider to tell you all about it!
We look forward to welcoming you to conferences starting next week! If you haven't already scheduled a conference with your child's teacher, please reach out to them!
Health Office Update: Nurse Peters will be transferring to George Mitchell Elementary School as of November 12, 2024. Her 9 years of nursing service to the LaLiberte Elementary School Community is sincerely appreciated. Her dedication and effort in the care of her population impacted the health and wellbeing of many students and staff. Wishing her the best in her new endeavors.
New to the LaLiberte Health Services office will be Nurse Sproul. She brings with her 11 years of pediatric experience from Massachusetts General Hospital, I.V. infusion experience and the parenting experience of 3 sons. She is dedicated to working with children and passionate in helping the BR school district succeed. She look forward to welcoming her to the LaLiberte Elementary School Community.
A Note from Superintendent Powers:
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We hope this message finds you well. Our home sporting events are a welcome opportunity for families across the district to attend and support our sports teams. We have noticed an increase of middle and elementary school students attending the games, often without a parent or caregiver, especially our home football games. While we welcome these future Trojans, we are not able to provide supervision of these students. We strongly encourage our middle school and elementary school students to attend our home football games with a parent or caregiver. We appreciate your assistance and look forward to welcoming you to Red Nation!
Sincerely,
Ryan T. Powers, Superintendent
Angela Watson, Principal BRRHS
William OβConnell, Coordinator of Wellness and Athletics

Raynham Community Food Drive:Thanksgiving is around the corner and this year we will be continuing our annual food drive to collect food to help less fortunate families in the Raynham community.
We welcome all non-perishable, not expired food items. Some ideas of some food items for donation include but are not limited to kids cereal, cream of mushroom soup, french's onions, boxes of stuffing mix, SpaghettiOs, Hamburger Helper, Chef Boyardee, macaroni and cheese, cookies for kids, tuna, canned chicken, pasta, pasta sauces, packaged fruits, bottled juice, fruit snacks, pie filling, brownie and or cake mixes with frosting.
All donations will benefit the Raynham Food Basket during the holiday season and in the months ahead.
We are asking students to bring their donations to school October 24th through November 5th, this helps fill the pantry before the holiday.
We know that your Thanksgiving will be more meaningful by sharing with those who need a helping hand. If you would like more information, please call Shannon Peters @ 508-824-2731, ext. 5.
Thank you in advance for your support!
