Message from the Principal
Dear Kennedy High School Community,
I hope this letter finds you well. We have an exciting week ahead, filled with important events and opportunities for our students.
One of the highlights of the week is Red Ribbon Week. This national campaign aims to educate students about the dangers of drug use and encourage them to make healthy choices. It's crucial for high schools to participate in Red Ribbon Week, as it helps to foster a drug-free environment and promote positive values. To learn more about alcohol and drug awareness and prevention, please watch the recording of last Thursday's Coffee with the Principal on our YouTube channel.
To celebrate Red Ribbon Week, we're excited to announce the following dress-up days:
Monday, October 28: Wear red to show you're "Red-y to Be Drug Free."
Tuesday, October 29: Twin with a friend to show that "Drug Free Looks Like Me."
Wednesday, October 30: Wear lei or Hawaiian-themed clothing to "Lei Off Drugs."
Thursday, October 31: Wear your Halloween costume to "Scare Off Drugs."
Friday, November 1: Wear green to show you're "Fighting (Irish) to Be Drug Free."
For students attending school in Halloween costumes on Thursday, October 31st, please remember to adhere to the following guidelines:
School dress code must be followed. No short skirts/shorts/Tutus above mid-thigh, no bare midriffs, no bare shoulders, no low necklines, no overly large clothing, and no gang-affiliated clothing.
Hats and hoods MAY be worn as part of a costume.
No masks (COVID-19 Medical Masks are Allowed).
No weapons of any kind (nunchucks/ sickles/ swords/ knives/ guns, etc.).
I am thrilled to announce that our Fighting Irish Girls Varsity Golf Team are League Champions! Three Fighting Irish students will compete as individuals on Wednesday, October 30th. Nataliya Laciste won league MVP by finishing first in league finals.
This Friday, our Fighting Irish Varsity Football Team takes on Sunny Hills High School at 7:00 PM at Handel Stadium. This game will be the last game of league play, but I am proud to announce that they already secured a playoff spot with their 6-3 record.
We encourage all families to come out and support our student-athletes. Thank you for your continued support of Kennedy High School

Once you complete the form, please bring a photo copy of Drivers License, Auto Insurance, and the current Vehicle Registration with $20 cash or check to complete the process
District Volunteer Process
The district has rolled out with a new volunteer process this school year. You must register through the Raptor system and choose between Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Tier 2 clearance allows volunteers to participate in prolonged student contact such as overnight trips with students, but requires a tuberculosis test and fingerprint. All other general volunteer participation would be Tier 1.
If you are interested in volunteering for any program on campus, you must sign up and attend an orientation held by the district. Please see the flyers below for more information (you can click on the flyer).
