Your Weekly BGS PTO News & Happenings
Thank You!
Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped make our Book Fair possible. Whether you helped set up, point kids to the perfect book, or helped break down the sale, we appreciate your time and dedication to making BGS a great place to learn. Special thanks to our Spring Chairs, Lauren Ravi, Jenniffer Runyon, & Annie Qureshi for helping lead the charge for the Book Fair!
Dine & Donate: California Pizza Kitchen
You have to eat, so why not eat out and raise some money for BGS at the same time? We've partnered with the Bridgewater Commons California Pizza Kitchen to host a BGS PTO fundraiser on Monday, June 10 from 11 AM - 10 PM. Just show the flyer below (it was also sent home via backpack mail) and 20% of your check goes to support the PTO.
Don't forget to spread the word to your friends and neighbors too! Just click here to view our Facebook Event and share it to you Facebook page.
Calling All Bears - Help Send Off the 4th Graders at the 4th Grade Carnival!
Each year, our PTO sponsors a fun-filled day to celebrate our outgoing 4th graders before they graduate BGS and move on to Eisenhower. Our 4th Grade Fun Day Team has a ton of fun in store. This year's send-off will be a 4th Grade Summer Carnival on Friday, June 14 during the school day.
We kindly ask parents to contribute to making the BGS Fourth Grade Summer Carnival a fun and successful event! Volunteer opportunities aren't just open to the 4th grade parents - if you're the parent of a younger Bear, we invite you to join us to get some ideas for your future 4th grade send-off.
Our 4th Grade Carnival Planning Crew has put together a wish list of other items to help run the day as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Please sign up for as little as an hour, or all day, if you can! Don't forget to wear light/cool clothing, hats, sunglasses, bring a water bottle with ice, and remember your bug spray and sunscreen.
Sign up to contribute items or volunteer your time via our SignupGenius here: http://bit.ly/BGSCarnival2019
**Note that we need the items by 7:30 a.m. the morning of the event for set up. We also have sign up for the day before to decorate fourth grade wing, classrooms and building entrance. Thank you so much for your generosity and willingness to help!
Don't Forget to Recycle Your Markers
It's been a long school year and you probably have some dried out markers laying around. Don't just toss them out - send in your old markers and drop them off in our Crayola Color Cycle box on the way to the cafeteria. Our PTO will pack them up and send them off to have the plastic marker tubes recycled. It's a win-win - you clean the house out and we skip help the planet!
