Operation Snowman Complete β
Each year, the students in Mrs. Mary Zapata's class participate in a fun and creative activity where they get to measure how tall they are in kindergarten and create a snowman that is the same height.
The students have a lot of fun painting the snowman faces and the teachers are excited to see how the students express their creativity through their snowmen! Mrs. Zapata started this classroom tradition more that 10 years ago and looks forward to continuing this tradition in her class. Thank you to the Molina Family for cutting the snowmen out and painting them for the students. We appreciate all you did to make this tradition a special one for our students!

π‘ Attendance
Attendance is crucial for students to learn effectively. Here's why:
Consistency and Continuity: Regular attendance ensures that students receive the full benefit of lessons and don't miss out on important information. Missing school can create gaps in knowledge, making it harder for students to understand academic material.
Engagement: Being present in class allows students to actively participate in discussions, ask questions, and engage with teachers and classmates. This active learning can deepen their understanding and retention of the material.
Social Skills and Emotional Development: School isn't just for academics; it's also a place for developing social skills, building friendships, and learning how to interact with others. Children thrive socially at school, and regular attendance helps ensure that they are part of these social experiences.
Better Academic Performance: Studies have shown that students who attend classes regularly tend to perform better academically. They have a better understanding of the subject matter and are more likely to succeed in school.
Teacher Support: When students attend class regularly, they can benefit from direct teacher support. Teachers can give individualized attention to students who need help, clarifying concepts, and targeting specific learning challenges.
Discipline and Responsibility: Regular attendance teaches students discipline and responsibility, which are important life skills. It helps them develop time management skills and a sense of commitment toward their education.
Regular attendance is important for students. Attendance is essential to the learning process, contributing to a well-rounded and successful educational experience for your child.
