Mid-January 2025
Principal's Message
Dear Wall High School students, families, and staff:
As you know mid-term exams are scheduled for January 21st to January 27th. This school year, many of our exams will be administered through a digital platform called LinkIt. Students are already familiar with taking benchmark assessments in class using LinkIt, so incorporating midterms will continue to help us better support all learners in the classroom.
Since the majority of these exams will be digital, students are required to bring their fully charged school-issued Chromebook to school on the day of each exam. Students who arrive unprepared and without a charged Chromebook will need to attend school on the make-up exam day (January 27th) to complete any missed assessments as a result of being unprepared.
Please click here to view more information and details about the exam schedule and expectations.
Tuesday, January 28th is the first day of Marking Period 3, and it is an "E" day. Students will attend all 8 classes for 41 minute blocks of instruction.
๐ Save the Date
We are excited to share that we have scheduled an Academic Night for families on February 5th, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM, titled "Flying the Nest." This event will cover essential topics to help both students and parents prepare for the transition ahead when students go off to college. We will discuss building a solid foundation, navigating the college search process and visits, utilizing admissions technology, understanding standardized testing including the digital SAT and ACT, and exploring financial planning.
To make the evening even more enjoyable, food will be served and there will be prizes awarded throughout the night.
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Course Requests for the 2025-2026 School Year
The School Counselors have visited Social Studies classes to present scheduling options to students for next year. Students were provided with detailed scheduling information to help them pick electives and submit their schedule in Genesis for the upcoming school year.
The parent portal is open, so students and parents can enter course requests. It is very important for students to have requests entered in the portal to give them the best chance of getting the courses they want. Course requests are due by Friday, January 31, 2025. Our Program of Studies is updated for the 2025-26 school year, and scheduling information can be found at:

๐ฝ๏ธ Lunch Information
Message Regarding Doordash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc.
Please be advised, WHS will not accept food deliveries from services such as DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc. for students in our school. While we understand the convenience these services provide, they create significant disruptions within our main office. More importantly, allowing outside food/lunch deliveries raises concerns about the safety and security of our students and staff.
Please note: Parents and guardians are still permitted to drop off lunch for students who may have forgotten their meals. However, we ask that you coordinate these drop-offs directly through our main office to ensure a smooth process.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the well-being and security of our school community.
