Exhibition Night
As Decembers quickly approaches, so does Big Spring’s Exhibition Night to be held on December 17th, 2018. Students are always hard at work in the classroom and Exhibition Night is a great way for them to showcase what they are learning. Exhibition Night will feature student work, demonstrations, and instructional practices used by teachers. Students will use a multitude of different presentation methods, as well as, explaining what they have been working on. We encourage anyone and everyone to come out and support the high school's students from 5-7 in this celebration of their learning so far this year. In addition, there will be a community dinner included as part of the evening and a band and chorus concert directly after it. More details on the evening will be coming as well. Hope you can join us on that night.

Student Council PSAC Event
Student council officers and members recently attended the statewide conference at Ceder Crest High School. During the event, they worked on their leadership as well as spread ideas for how to make Mini-THONs more successful. Both our chapter and one of our advisors, Ms. Hetrick, were honored with recognition awards of excellence.
Duck Race
In an annual tradition at Big Spring High School, Club Care hosts a rubber duck race at the High School Natatorium. Throughout the weeks leading up to the event, club members sell ducks of all different themes from surfers to the Statue Of Liberty. Students can pay $2 to race and keep a duck or $1 to just race the duck! Top 3 winners get a cash prize and the rest of the proceeds go to the Mini Thon total!
Veteran's Ceremony
On this past observed Veteran’s Day, Tempus put together a ceremony held at the flagpole in front of the commons. The band and chorus joined together to do the National Anthem and Armed Forces Salute. The Male ensemble sang “Tell My Father” and two trumpeters from the band performed TAPS. The guest speaker this year was Lloyd Herman. He informed the students of the importance of helping out veterans as they transition back to regular civilian life. All in all, it was a beautiful ceremony that Big Spring is glad to host every year.
Thankful For Our Bulldog Family
Our teachers surprised their students with a cut-out list of every student's name put on one of the staircase windows. In the middle of all the names is the central theme entitling Thankful For Our Bulldog Family. As students walked by you saw many smiling faces as well as many of them attempting to find their name.
