WELCOME BULLDOGS! 🐾
On behalf of the entire Bellerose Staff, we hope that everyone is enjoying their well-earned summer break and are starting to look forward to an exciting 2025-2026 school year.
For all of our new Bulldogs, welcome to the Bellerose Family! Bellerose is such a fantastic place to belong and we look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our school. Bellerose offers a strong variety of programs, activities, and opportunities for students to get involved in their learning and their community. Our student and leadership teams will be hosting a Week of Welcome that will include a Team and Clubs Fair on Friday, September 5th, over the lunch hour. Please take some time to explore what Bellerose has to offer you!
At Bellerose, we value our focus on inclusivity! An integral part of our school identity has always been celebrating the different strengths and interests of our students. This focus is reflected in the diverse programming our school offers. Bellerose continues to build upon and create great programs and traditions in all academic areas, as well as showcase first class programs and events, such as Bikeathon, the International Baccalaureate Programme, our Inclusive Education programs, fine arts shows, our Musical Theatre production, Athletics, Physical Education and Health Pathway programs, Student Leadership teams, and CTS. We look forward to having you join us in the variety of activities and events that will highlight your high school memories and support many worthwhile community initiatives.

PowerSchool
IMPORTANT POWER SCHOOL LOG-IN INFORMATION
PowerSchool Parent Portal access is created at the school level for all students. If you are new to St. Albert Public Schools, click the link below for detailed instructions on how to enter the PowerSchool Parent Portal for the first time.
Parents/Guardians are able to access a child’s grades, attendance and fees using the PowerSchool ParentPortal login. If you have more than one child attending school in our District, you will be able to view each of your children through the same login. If you have difficulty accessing your PowerSchool ParentPortal Account please contact bellerose@spschools.org after August 19th.
Student Attendance
Regular attendance is vital to a student's academic success and is a key factor in a students ability to have a strong connection to all aspects of classroom and school learning. This is particularly important in the fast paced semesters of high school.
If you know that your student will be late or absence from class, we ask that you notify the school with a brief message at br.absences@spschools.org or 780.460.8490
For any absences that are unexcused, an automated phone system contacts the home between 4-9pm when a student has missed a class. If you are unaware of the absence, you are encouraged to speak to your student and contact the school if you require follow up action.
Student Fees
School fees will be posted to your student’s account starting in October. Parents will be able to view and pay school fees on the PowerSchool ParentPortal.
2025-2026 Student Parking
Due to the ongoing modernization and construction at Bellerose, the number of available parking stalls has temporarily been significantly reduced, and as a result, the application process for student parking passes has changed this year to allow for a more equitable opportunity for students.
We ask that you carefully review the instructions below to understand the new procedure.
Priority will be given to Grade 12 students. All applicants must hold a valid drivers licence, and insurance on their vehicle and are required to abide by our ‘Good Standing’ policy, whereby students must maintain acceptable attendance and adhere to the Bellerose Student Parking Expectations & Agreements, which can be found and must be agreed to on the application.
Step 1: Application to be Entered in the Random Draw Opens
September 1 – 7, 2025
Applications for student parking passes will be available through the Parent Portal under the School Fees section.
Please note that submitting a completed application does not guarantee a student parking pass.
Applications must be submitted online. Add the form to your cart and proceed to checkout. There will be no payment required ($0 balance) and you must still complete the checkout process.
To confirm your application is received, you will:
Receive an emailed School Receipt/Confirmation to the email your Parent Portal is set up with OR
View ‘paid’ transactions on the Parent Portal and it will be listed under “Other Fees - BR Student Parking - $0.
The application window will remain open for one week to provide adequate time for submission and there will be no maximum of applications that can be submitted.
Step 2: Lottery Draw
September 8, 2025
A random lottery draw will be done to allocate 100 parking passes from the pool of submitted applications received, beginning with Grade 12’s.
How will the draw work???
Grade 12 students will receive priority in the draw. All Grade 12 applications will be entered to be randomly drawn. The first 100 numbers will be issued a parking pass. Numbers 101+ will be put on a wait list, still in the order of the random draw.
If there are passes still available after the Grade 12’s have been drawn, Grade 11 applications will be drawn, followed by Grade 10.
Random draw numbers 1-100 will have a fee of $10 added to PowerSchool. An email will be sent to parents after the draw to those students who were randomly drawn numbers 1-100, with instructions for completing payment online. Payment must be completed within two days, by September 10, 2025.
Paid passes will be available for pickup starting September 11, 2025.
Step 3: Parking Passes Come Into Effect
September 15, 2025
Students must display a valid parking pass to park in the student parking lot.
Vehicles without a parking pass will not be permitted in the lot and will be subject to tickets issued by Bylaw Enforcement.
Applications submitted after all passes are issued will be placed on a waitlist behind all applications previously given a random draw number. Additional passes could potentially be granted as they become available throughout the school year.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
