June 3 - MAP reports, final report cards
Final student progress reports for grades 1st-5th and spring MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) reports will be mailed home on June 3.
MAP assessments were administered at various times during the three weeks of April 22- May 10.
If you do not receive a copy of your child's reports in the next week, or have any questions, please contact your school building's office or the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, Dr. Melissa E. Hirsch.

NOTICE: Treatment to Dist. 30 grounds
June 5
Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 is partnering with Bertog Landscape to treat the grounds on and around the Maple School soccer field. On June 5, Bertog will apply Mirimichi Green Carboniz Soil Enhancer and Aqueduct Flex Granular wetting agent.
In the event all applications cannot be applied on this date, the alternate date of application will be June 6. For questions, please contact the district’s Buildings and Grounds Coordinator Jason Borst at 847-400-8964.
July 27-28
District 30 is required to notify district families and employees before applying pesticides or specific sealant products. Current plans call for an asphalt sealcoat to be applied at Willowbrook School on the weekend of July 27-28 with rain dates of August 3-4.
For more information on summer dates of any additional applications, please refer to the District 30 website under District Notices. Additionally, signs will be posted after any such applications. For questions, please contact the district’s Buildings and Grounds Coordinator Jason Borst at 847-400-8964.
School signup discount ends today!
Student registration for the 2024-25 school year is open. Letters outlining all info needed to complete registration were mailed to families April 24 in a white envelope marked "Registration Information Enclosed."

Please note the following dates:
May 1-31: Discounted online student registration through PowerSchool’s Parent Portal for registrations completed by May 31.
August 1: Families must complete registration, including payment, by August 1 to receive classroom teacher assignments for Wescott and Willowbrook students and advisory/locker assignments for Maple students.

Upcoming iPad collection for grades 3-5
The technology staff is now collecting student iPads so that they may be cleaned, updated, and prepared for the next school year. As part of the collection process, students will turn in their iPad devices and district-issued cases, which will be checked for any damage or repair needs.
5th grade only: Students are required to return their iPad charging cables and bricks. They will receive new iPads and chargers in 6th grade.
3rd and 4th grade only: Students will NOT turn in their iPad charging cables and bricks. Please keep them in a safe place for the summer and be ready to use them next year!
A fee may be owed if a required item is not returned, or returned in an unusable condition. Parents will receive an email with more information and steps on how to pay the fee in the Parent Portal account.
Fantastic Field Day
We loved continuing our Field Day spring tradition. Thank you to all the parents and staff who helped with activities and cheered on our Wildcats!
Successful student recital!
Thank you and congratulations to all of our talented students who performed in the Willowbrook recital this year. We were amazed at your abilities, from electric guitar to classical piano, these Wildcats rocked the house. Bravo!
5th-Grade fun
Wildcat 5th-graders have been having an amazing end-of-year! They traveled with their Wescott classmates for their annual trip to Camp Duncan this week, and recently celebrated their "Glow Up to Maple" luncheon. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped make these special memories!

Hiring PT Dist. 30 Health Office Assistant

Parents and Guardians: Please consider this position or pass along the information to people who have nursing experience and may be interested in working three days a week with our fabulous District 30 Nurses, staff, students, and families. POSITION SUMMARY:
This part-time (3 days a week) position supports the school nurses with filing, record keeping, maintenance of health records, and, at times, tending to the health needs of students. The health office assistant should enjoy working with children and be strongly interested in a child-centered preschool through eighth-grade environment.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Current and valid Illinois license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
CPR, AED & First Aid certification preferred.
Experience with school health office duties preferred.
Working knowledge of school office principles, practices, and ethical standards; relevant state and federal laws; and rules and regulations.
Playground closed starting June 4
Please take note that the Willowbrook School playground closest to the front entrance will be blocked off for construction from June 4-30. Thank you for your understanding.
