We are elated to add PK3 and 6th grade to our campus! Be in the lookout for enrollment opportunities and don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. When the students start in school early on and remain on the same campus, there is a high likelihood of academic success.

On another note, Dallas ISD has a very successful bilingual program that promotes biliteracy in english and spanish. As a way to measure english proficiency, all bilingual students in K-5 take TELPAS, the assessment that measures the ability of the child to speak, listen, read and write in english. You can support your student by exposing them to their second language at home and by helping them understand that they must take this assessment seriously, not only for their own academic benefit, but also because this assessment is part of the campus accountability rating.

Last but not least, it is bitter sweet to announce that our parent instructor, Ms. Jaramillo has retired. She will be deeply missed but we wish her well. We are hoping to announce our new parent instructor soon, but in the meantime know that you are still welcome to volunteer at Casa View. Reach out to Ms. Daisy Rodriguez in the main office to sign up for coming events.

¡Estamos encantados de agregar PK3 y 6º grado a nuestro campus! Estén atentos a las oportunidades de inscripción y no duden en hacernos saber si tienen alguna pregunta. Cuando los estudiantes comienzan la escuela a una edad temprana y permanecen en el mismo campus, hay una alta probabilidad de éxito académico.

Por otro lado, Dallas ISD cuenta con un programa bilingüe muy exitoso que promueve la alfabetización en inglés y español. Como una forma de medir la competencia en inglés, todos los estudiantes bilingües de K-5 tomarán TELPAS, una evaluación que mide la capacidad del estudiante para hablar, escuchar, leer y escribir en inglés. Pueden apoyar a su estudiante exponiéndolo a su segundo idioma en casa y ayudándolo a comprender que debe tomar esta evaluación en serio, no solo por su propio beneficio académico, sino también porque esta evaluación forma parte de la calificación de responsabilidad académica del campus.

Students are required to wear their uniforms every day except on Themed-Dress Up days, which are announced by the school. For example on Fridays students can wear jeans with a themed shirt (spirit, college, house colors, etc.), otherwise they must wear their uniform. We are highly encouraging the green cardigan for a collegial look. It's $15-$17 dollars in most big chain stores.

Everyone is invited to eat with their child. Suggested attire is casual or business casual, for example jeans, pants or skirts, casual non-graphic tops.

If you need to pick up your student for a doctor's appointment, the latest you may do so is 2:30 PM. We will not be able to release any students after 2:30 PM. Thank you for your understanding.

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Good attendance will help children do well in high school, college, and at work. Remember to bring or send a note to justify student absences.

Asistir regularmente a la escuela ayuda a los niños a sentirse mejor sobre la escuela y sobre sí mismos. Empiece a desarrollar este hábito desde la etapa preescolar para que aprendan desde el principio que ir a la escuela a tiempo, todos los días, es importante. Post L, our construction contractor is moving fast with this project. Some evident progress you may notice is: roofing and window work, as well as concrete on the side of the building outlining the new fireline. We are excited about their progress!
