Dedicated Parent: As a proud mother, I recognize the crucial role of a supportive school community in our children’s development.
Commitment to Volunteerism: My extensive volunteer experience at Oster Elementary spans organizing and leading events such as the Back-to-School Picnic (Foam Party), coordinating classical dance performances by award-winning performers, and contributing to holiday celebrations. My roles as a Room Lead for Art Vistas and Project Cornerstone, along with serving as Co-Head Docent of Art Vistas, demonstrate my dedication to enhancing the school experience for all students.
Educational Background: With Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Management, and Degree in Business Management (Honors), I bring valuable insights to the role.
Professional Experience: My leadership roles in technology companies in both India and the USA equip me with essential organizational and leadership skills.
Passion for Arts and Culture: My BA in classical dance (Bharatnatyam) reflects my commitment to promoting artistic expression within our school community.
I am eager to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment at Oster Elementary, ensuring every
student’s success academically, socially, and creatively. With my skills and unwavering commitment, I am ready to lead initiatives benefiting students, parents, teachers, and staff alike.
Julie Park for Vice President
I am excited to be a part of the HSC team and serve as co-vice president. I am a mom of two Oster students (2nd grader Riley and TK Ethan). I have a hospitality industry background as a pastry chef working in restaurants and bakeries. I have been involved with Oster’s enrichment programs and field trips, as well as fun events such as movie nights and glow party. I look forward to a great year with Oster!
Vibhor Goyal for Vice President Technology
I am a dad of two current Oster students (Adit in 3rd grade and Neel in 2nd grade). I am relatively new to the Oster family, we started here about a year ago and I am super glad to be part of the community. I am a Software Engineer by profession and have been helping Oster Home & School Club with various technical needs.
Jany Battung for Secretary
I am honored to be recognized for my contributions to our school community. Since joining last year, I’ve drawn on my background in web design and IT to support our school’s technological needs. I’ve taken on the responsibility of creating vibrant, eye-catching flyers, managing copies and laminations for teachers, and leading Movie Night initiatives.
In addition to these roles, I’m a mother first— I actively support my daughter’s education by assisting in the classroom as a Room Parent. I also have the privilege of serving as a substitute teacher, which is truly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to our school community and contribute to the enriching experiences of our students. Here’s to another great year and many more to come!
Christina Herrera for Treasurer
This will be my fourth year serving on the HSC board as Co-Treasurer. I have a 5th and 4th grader at Oster. I have volunteered over the years as a classroom helper, Project Cornerstone reader, Art Vistas instructor, yard duty person and I currently co-chair Frozen Fridays with Karin Angelo. Before becoming a mom, I worked for a private foundation in grants management and have recently embarked on a new career as a Personal Trainer. I am excited for another fantastic, fun-filled year at Oster!
Chanel Kim for Auditor
I am thrilled to return to the HSC team and serve as Auditor. I have a 2nd grader at Oster, and another daughter who will attend next year. I enjoy working with numbers and my background extends into retail finance, banking, and most recently, student transportation. I look forward to an exciting school year at Oster.
