BULLDOG PARENT NEWSLETTER
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Second week down!
It has been a joy to welcome our new scholars into the building. We are appreciative for their presence and sure did miss them. Our students went full blast into learning this week. They were open and receptive. We began to count tardies and dress code this week.
Great job this week to parents, students and staff. We came closer to our goal of 4:00 P.M. end of dismissal. We ended at 4:07 P.M. this week at the latest. That is 9 minutes earlier than last week. We will continue to push forward next week and hope to have all students picked up by 4:00. Parents please help us by asking your student to listen for their name and number and please remember the number that is provided to you. Please load your cars quickly so we can get all students into an air conditioned vehicle as soon as possible.
Kudos to all of YOU! Our amazing parents/guardians. Your patience with us has made this weeks processes once again, much better. It is always a pleasure seeing all of your faces. Parents thank you for your help with dress code!
Reminder that students may wear jeans on Friday. This is only with a college shirt or a campus approved spirit shirt.
This year at Priority Charter Schools- Temple, we are Unleashing Our Extraordinary. We can only do this with parents and students also being committed and connected. Parent/teacher relationships are the change agent in student success and so we invite you to be involved, stay involved and focused on your scholars learning and their involvement in their own education this year. Here at Temple, we will strive to work hard to build meaningful relationships with students, family members, and the community.
Please know that we are a visit, email, or phone call away. If you need anything this school year feel free to call 254-778-8682 or email your child's teacher. We are a team, we are committed to excellence and we are committed to connecting with you!
I'm ready for another week! Education is fun here!

Continued Reminders....
Drop off Procedures:
Parents will drop off students at the front of the building. Parents are not allowed inside the building at this point or past the gym. If you have any questions, please stop by the front office for assistance.
Extra Clothes:
It is required for our younger Bulldogs, but recommended for even our older students, to pack an additional set of clothing, including underwear and socks. Please place these items in a bag and label them with your child's name.
Heat and Recess:
We will not send students outside for recess if the heat index is above 98 degrees. We will make alternate arranges for recess as needed. Please send water bottles for your students.
Afternoon Dismissal:
All of our students will be released that are car pick up at 3:45 P.M. Buses will leave prior to car pick up beginning.
All dismissal will occur in the back parking lot. Attendants will be present to assist. Please be patient as the first few weeks, will be imperative to working out all of the kinks.
Our new dismissal provides a safe and efficient way to deliver your child(ren) to your car. With your help and cooperation, this dismissal process can be done in 15 minutes. You must have a car tag to use this process. This will be issued during Meet the Teacher. Please place the car tag on your car visor upon pick up. One staff member will radio numbers/grades. Please follow their guidelines and pull forward when directed.
Please assist us with a successful drop-off and Dismissal:
1. It is imperative, for the safety of students and staff that ALL kids who exit cars in the morning should exit on the side closest to the school building. Please take time to rearrange cars so that children can do this.
2. Please watch and pull as far forward as you can when you get to your numbered spot. This well help us get most care in the line to open doors and get kids out or put them in the car. "It is a courtesy for staff members to open the door, not a requirement.
3. The line can get long. For the first few days, please plan for additional time while waiting. Each day it will get a little shorter. The goal is to be finished with dismissal by 4:00 P.M.
4. The office will be closed from 3:20-3:45 PM daily. Please plan accordingly if you need to get your child for an appointment. Students must be picked up by 3:20 PM. Please remember any extra time will cut into your students instruction time. Each moment is important.
