Dear Dunham Students and Families,
This month, we are focusing on an important value that helps build a strong, positive school community: Respect. Respect means treating others the way you would like to be treated. It’s about showing kindness, listening when others speak, following rules, and appreciating the differences that make each of us unique. At Dunham we expect students to respect students and adults. And we also expect adults to respect students and each other.
In the classroom, respect looks like paying attention to teachers and classmates, using polite words, and helping one another. Outside of class, it can be seen in how we care for our school grounds and how we include others in games and activities. By practicing respect every day, we create a safe, friendly environment where everyone feels valued.
Let’s make this month a time to practice and celebrate respect in all we do—both in school and at home. Together, we can build a community where respect is always the foundation.
