Toll Gate Middle School Kindness Challenge Kids Helping Kids Edition
TGMS Families:
During the month of February, we would like to put our focus on others by spreading kindness. This year we are focusing on kids helping kids. Students will be participating in various activities at school throughout the month.
One activity we are doing as a building is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Students can bring pop tabs to school throughout the month. We will have a box in front of the Media Center.
Knowing that helping other kids outside of the community is important as well, we have included some information about local causes and resources in order to raise awareness and give families some ideas.
Connect as a family and spread a little TGMS Kindness!

Immunization for Students Entering Grade 7 Clinic Feb. 6, 2025
TIme to prepare for 7th grade at our upcoming Vaccine Clinic
Thursday February 6
9 am - 3:30 pm
Your child will need to be up to date on vaccines to enter the 7th grade. This includes the MCV4 and the TDAP vaccine. Scan the QR code on the flyer below or call for an appointment at 614-864-3222.
Per the Ohio Department of Health, all students entering grade 7 must show proof of vaccination against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap vaccine) and meningococcal disease (MCV4 vaccine). You may take this letter with you to your doctor to use as documentation of these vaccinations, or you may submit an immunization report with the dates of both vaccinations. Please return this documentation as soon as possible to your child’s school nurse. If this is not
provided during the grade 6 school year, you will need to send this information to the junior high that your child will attend prior to the beginning of the next school year. The middle school nurses will forward all immunization documentation received to the junior high nurses at the end of this year. Your student will not be able to start school until documentation of the required vaccines or a signed exemption form are on file.
Please contact your school’s School Nurse or our Health Services Coordinator with any questions:
Toll Gate Middle School: School Nurse Tami Tackett at phone 614-834-6400, fax 614-834-6420, or emailtami_tackett@plsd.us
If you are new to the area or if your child is not established with a doctor, you can
check out the information about the School Based Health Center.

A Huge Thank You From The "Tie A Knot for Warmth" project coordinator
A very special thank you to all of our students and families who helped to "Tie A Knot For Warmth" during the holiday season. Mrs. Tessmer delivered 286 blankets to Fairfield County Children's Services. They really appreciate your efforts, thank you!!
